Some players prefer the surer way of fighting, that is, not basing anything on luck.
The Adam-centered dual-tank setup is the preferred one as of late. Basically it is:
Herja --- Adam --- Ahmose
Flavius --- Leader
Substitute is Saffron. As Ahmose or the leader is the one often killed first, Saffron subs as another tank for them.
The mechanics of this setup are:
1. With shields up, no hero can one-shot Saffron or Ahmose. This guarantees that Adam gets to fire his 1k strike skill.
2. The leader is only a distraction, and serves as a sacrificial tank. This is to delay the enemy into hitting your Adam or Herja.
3. Herja assures that your Adam can skill each turn, or negates the enemy's Flavius War Cry, if the enemy uses Flavius.
4. Flavius is the last attacker, and is a serious disruptor to the enemy's plans, making it so that none of the enemy's heroes skill the next round.
