I have a level 10 hit rune on her. and she still misses a lot.
Blocks work
I know that feeling ALL to well!
at a later point you will have endurance and reliability on her that includes break. i am not sure if you noticed but its a basic mage setup that you should aim for, meaning if you dont need maria but another DD then you just switch her out for a DD like aphrodite, smoulder, etc and the runes with it. and your comment about her not needing block is simply wrong. please do a search for block and break and you will find a series of posts that require mages to have block and break runes (break is inevitable because included into reliability). there you will also find screenshoots proving that there is a damage reduction included into block runes that mages take a clear advantage from.
for the future please refrain from making assumptions and presenting those assumptions to newer players as facts because they will believe you.
Ok, let me see if I can ask this question with a bit more specifics.
Maria is a healer..I get that. Currently I have 5 open rune slots.
I want to MAXIMIZE her effectiveness right now.
Here are the runes she has:
Messiness lvl 6----gold
Dexterousness lvl 5---gold
Vitality lvl 5---gold
Hawkishness lvl 9---purple
Intenseness lvl 7----gold
So my question is, what do I need to do right now to improve this current recipe?
hit rune. Intenseness. Focus on just those two.
Maria does have a magic attack, yes. The more magic attack she has, the more she'll be able to heal. Doesn't do any damage to the opponents though. Herja doesn't benefit her, as Herja only increases the morale; whereas Maria doesn't use any morale.
Try to increase the hit rating on her. Getting a preciseness rune would do better for her. The runes that you're using are fine. Just level them up; and try to get a flintiness and nimbleness for her when you'll be able to use more rune slots on her.
