Thread: Truth about runes.

    Question Truth about runes.

I really want to know that hopefully the devs will reply to this post about runes.

We all know that a warrior type hero won't get a power boost with you put intenseness rune vice versa to mages as well. It also doesn't give power if you put an Adept rune to mages.

But, when you start putting a Crit rune to mages or support type of hero, it adds power, even break rune also adds power to support type. since it adds power to them, it is actually useful right? and it works. But, my question is, how does those rune ever helps those mages and supports? again, hopefully the devs will enlighten us a bit.

Dawnseeker, breaker, ... one of the developers said they want us to have the fun of discovering how things actually work on our own, so they won't answer questions like this. Actual, I kind of respect that.

I assume that you have read one of the mage posts, in one of them there are some strong assertions that the crit rune won't cause a mage to crit, but does cause the mage to do the higher end of their damage range.

Things can block mage attacks. Bosses in particular. So break does help. Lots of speculation that some of the misses we see with mages against npcs are actually blocks that the game just shows as misses.

yeah. so crit rune does help then? to mages. so the rule is, as long it add power, there is an effect?

Rightousness doesn't add power to any hero, and its quite a powerful rune. I wouldn't take tynon's ability to judge power of items/runes/heroes etc seriously at all. Have a look at Pompey and Lance, according to tynon they are the strongest heroes in the game.

    intense/adept:
warriors dont have a magic attack that requires magical focus
mages dont have a physical skill attack that requires skill attack increase

    crit rune on mages:
the way mages land a critical attack is by a percentage increase of their max attack. since maria seems to work like a reversed mage, she should also be able to increase a small percentage of a few critical heals with crits.

    also look here

    morale runes:
these dont show a change in power because they dont add power. they add morale, thats a condition. to launch a skill attack you need 100 morale or higher. morale runes only help you getting there faster but dont increase your damage (dont mistake "higher morale does more damage" for morale added).
