Thread: Hero Recruitment

    This change was actually implemented a few days ago, when the Maria patch was introduced.

    The new text in Weekly Events was already put in place then.

    Free Redeem day was not the best for a couple reasons:
    • Some players would get lucky and others would get unlucky. This was frustrating for the unlucky ones and it was inconsistent, and difficult to plan around.
    • Free Redeems tended to clog up the Hero inventory. This was partially resolved with the new Hero Inn, but we don't really want players to have a bunch of white heroes they never use.


    The new Double Spirits day resolves this:
    • The more you spend, the more spirits you get. No more unlucky streaks and frustration.
    • You only recruit the heroes you want.


    Overall, we feel the new way is better. Tavern Tuesday is still my favorite.

    I am sorry about the lack of notification, and I'm working with the team to make sure we better notify everyone of patches.

    I think this change will pretty much balance out, depending on whether or not the rate at which purples/golds show in tavern in the first place has been changed. I have noticed though, that over the course of the last few paches, the rate has been reduced. Not very happy about that, but such is life I guess. As long as it isnt even more reduced for this new incarnation of Tavern Tuesday, I think it'll be six or one half dozen the other really.
    Only major difference is people wont be just accepting every card they get and selling it for a coin profit. I didn't have the time or inventory space to participate in that while it was around but I was aware of people doing it, and am pretty sure that was a BIG part of why the change is occurring. Guess we will just to see how it goes after reset tonight. *Hoping for the best*

    Oh, and Dawn, A team that is charged with notification of changes and explanation of such would be the MOST appreciated thing you can give your player base. Thank you for heading this up...

    It will certainly make it less attractive to sanctify a blue hero to half angel 5 (or more costly)

    With all the new heroes added, it is even harder to get the card you want to come up. Making Tuesday double spirits isn't that bad at all. You can still choose to buy the card that comes up if it is one that you want. All the while you are collecting extra spirits for redeem.

    You can still get lucky and unlucky streaks- just with the lucky streak you need to pay a few m extra. I have a feeling that the new way is simply better for just about everyone; tomorrow I will try to keep track of the heroes I buy and spirits I get to come up with how many more spirits we get at the cost of how many credits.

    Also, could we get a way to dismiss heroes? Admittedly at one point I tried to recruit everybody... think I have a few hundred white cards lol.
