I don't know if this will help or not, but I figured I would share my little adventure into Maria's intricacies. So grab a cup of whatever you please and peruse the following at your leisure.

I was growing more and more dissatisfied with Maria's overall performance. After all, she used to be a little healing machine; healing all her Heroes in her group. However; since reaching around level 50, I noticed that my little healing machine was not performing up to her usual standards; and every 5 levels or so, it seemed to be growing worse. The following is my experience and experiments with Maria. It seems to have worked for me and she is now back to her old self again; healing everyone on her team. I hope this makes sense and I am sorry; as a retired nurse I never learned to paraphrase, as a result this may seem lengthy to some, if not to all who take the time to read it.
Over the last several days; I was toying with the idea of replacing Maria. Last night in guild chat, one of our members mentioned hearing something about Maria's Magic Attack attribute not being over 10,000. Intrigued, I listened to what was being offered; but no one seemed to be really sure. As a result; I volunteered to go to Tynon Forums and see what I could find out about the situation. I read this entire thread, even the very bizarre, non-related posts and replies.
After sifting through the information; most of it very useful, I went back and started pulling Maria apart. I started with her Magic Attack Rune; a Level 8 Intensiveness, and next removed her Guardian Staff +21 with no chips. I left her Hope Bringer's Spirit on her, because not only did it have a Magic Attack attribute, but it had a Physical Attack and Skill Attack attribute as well.
I watched with trepidation as her total overall individual power went from 1,636,940 to 837,662 and my teams overall power plummeted from 8,484,129 to 7,684,851; a loss of 848,411 in total power. While I was not very happy about the 848K total power loss; I rationalized if I found the extra power was required to ensure Maria's prior performance, I could raise Maria's power level in a multitude of ways. With this knowledge in hand; I decided to give her a test drive and set her to the task of conquering Veleno; a level 68 end Mob Boss, who had stymied me for the last 4 days.

After 3 attempts on conquering Veleno; I finally had my formation adjusted and Maria fine-tuned. Imagine my surprise when the team defeated Veleno with 89.94% HP left to spare on the following attempt; which was a vast improvement from the 34.89% to 54.66% damage they were giving before. Maria was healing at 9,965 maximum healing power each round to all 5 heroes each time they needed and had 0 misses in that final battle. I could hardly believe that such a decrease in a Magic Attack attribute would improve her overall healing abilities, but there was the proof before me.

To achieve this end result that I now enjoy with Maria as a healer; I did the following:
1. I removed the Guardian Staff +21 without chips and did not replace it with any sword. I may do so in the future; but I am wary that even the lowest Apprentice Staff may over increase her Magic Attack attribute and destroy the balance of her maximum healing power she now has.
2. I replaced the Level 8 Intensiveness Rune with a Level 5 Trance Rune; as I found the other levels and types of runes were not as good as the Level 5 Trance Rune for the following reasons:
A. When trying a Focused Level 3; her maximum healing power was 8,698 to each person, each round as they needed, with a decrease in the overall Magic Attack attribute as well; but she was a healing all 5 heroes with the missed rounds of only 2 to 3 in each battle.
B. When trying a Focused at Level 4; it increased her maximum healing power to 10,065 to each person each round, but it had dropped from all 5 heroes being healed to just 1 to 3 each round. She also was missing all heroes in 2 to 3 rounds of each battle.
C. When trying a Trance at Level 6; once again it increased her maximum healing power to 10,015 to each person each round; but like the Level 4 Focused in the above; it also made Maria stop healing all 5 heroes and only healed 2 to 3 each round with 1 to 2 missed rounds each battle.

The following are the findings of my experimenting with different Magic Attack Runes to ensure Maria would heal all 5 heroes with the maximum healing power while keeping the missed rounds to a minimum:
1. The Level 5 Trance Rune was the way to increase her healing power to the level where she gave the maximum healing power of 9,965 to each hero each round without going over the 10,000 Magic Attack attribute, which was at 9,162 with the Level 5 Trance Rune with healing all 5 heroes as needed and only missing 0 to 1 rounds in each battle with an end quest Mob Boss, or the same Heroic Realm boss.
2. The Level 8 Intensiveness Rune with a maximum healing power of 18,663, gave a Magic Attack attribute of 17,657; which made Maria stop healing all 5 heroes and only heal between 1 to 3 heroes each round with 3 to 4 missed rounds in each battle with an end quest Mob Boss, or the same Heroic Realm boss.
3. The Level 4 Focused Rune gave a Magic Attack attribute of 9,212; but once again, the maximum healing power was at 10,065; which made her stop healing all 5 heroes and only heal 2 to 3 each round with 2 to 3 missed rounds in each battle with an end quest Mob Boss, or the same Heroic Realm boss.
4. The Level 3 Focused gave a Magic Attack attribute of 8,376, but it did not give her the maximum healing power that the Level 5 Trance did at only 8,689 maximum healing power to each hero each round, but it did keep her healing all 5 heroes each round with only 0-2 missed rounds in each battle with an end quest Mob Boss, or the same Heroic Realm boss.

Next; is the dry as toast part that can be very confusing even for myself. I believe that while she does not have the high maximum healing power that she had previously, at 18,633 to each person she healed, she would only heal 1 to 3 heroes each round for a total combined heal of 18,633 for one hero healed, 37,326 if she healed two heroes in a round and a maximum of 55,989 if she healed her maximum of three heroes in a round when using the Intensiveness Rune at Level 8.

While, when using the Trance rune at Level 5 and healing all five heroes for a maximum of 49,825 each round with fewer missed rounds of healing may be lower than the overall maximum for healing three heroes which she rarely does; about every third to fourth round, with the high magic attack and the maximum healing power she does give over the 12 to 14 rounds in an end Mob Boss battle, and the high level of missed rounds compared to the low or nonexistent levels of missed rounds and using the two Heroes calculation of healed heroes for statistical analysis for the Intensiveness rune and using 10 as the number of rounds that were fought; then one can conclude that using the lower level, lower value rune of Trance will give a maximum combined total of 498,250 healing power for an entire 10 round battle versus using the Intensiveness Rune; which will give a maximum combined total of 373,260 for an entire 10 round battle with an average of healing two people throughout the entire battle, which is approximately 25% less than using the lower rune of Trance and not factoring in the missed rounds, using the Trance rune will give you an overall increase in the amount of healing that is done during a battle of 25%.

This was my personal experience in experimenting with Maria's Magic Attack Runes and Magic Attack attributes. But as always, we all have our own individual preferences on how Maria should perform. So just jump in and mess around with her until you find what you like. I hope this will help to guide you in maximizing Maria's potential as a healer. I would be interested in finding out what your own experience will be and how it works for you.
