Thread: Should Stuns be Part of Banish Events

    Why would they have the revive button if we can't see it because of the animation?
    Is it supposed to or do you think it is supposed to slow the amount of damage a player does is what I am pointing at.

    Why get all upset with me? We as players changed the rules of Banish, not Tynon. We weren't supposed to maintain sustained stuns and therefore the battles were only supposed to last less than a minute and if we wanted it speeded up, we gemmed. The longer battles animations are supposed to even things out, which of course is being bypassed.


    It goes to say the longer you can sustain a battle, the more damage you can inflict. So therefore by refreshing you are in effect doing 2-3 times the damage you would be doing in 1 minute. I think that's what the devs are looking at.

    To be honest, I'm concerned why you are taking this to heart. Long ago I accepted the devs will do what they do. Yes they've taken aboard our suggestions but other patches introduce nerfs to bring in some balance. I'm honestly thinking they are going to nerf the Banish event and that doesn't mean anyone including me will like it.

    And I've never said my comments are the absolute truth, but they are based in common sense and logic. You are of course free to think how you wish, everyone has their own opinion.

    We definitely did not anticipate players chaining stuns and surviving longer than 1 minute in Banish. It was originally intended to be an attrition battle, with players managing how fast and what order their characters died, while delaying Thousand Strikes from Baal/Cerberus. We started seeing long stun chains and realized that is how players wanted the battle to be. It does add both an element of luck and skill to use stun-reliant strategies. So we left it alone.

    I think that things are getting absurd at this point and probably stuns should be removed, or else Baal should automatically break out of all stuns on the 6-8th round. But I don't make these decisions.

    Another idea to explore would be the boss having more skills than his AOE-kill-everything skill.

    An AOE-stun skill much like Queen Bryn's "Swift Pyre" that is cast every 4th round.

    A "Dispel" skill that removes all stuns on the boss that is cast every 6th round.

    An AOE morale-remover like Flavius's "War Cry" that is cast every 8th round.

    The boss being able to block, counterattack, and dodge as well.

    There are already a lot of skills that are irrelevant in banish events (shield wall/rampart, vamp strike, gut shot, AOE atks, greater heal). Removing stuns would just make the strategies even less interesting.

    I do understand the problem: people are getting long stun locks and refreshing to maximize damage. This is allowing progression that is faster than uCool expected. There are people already asking for 6.25b banish which is 5x more coins and creds which further speeds up progression. Unfortunately, it is clear that uCool doesn't have the resources to produce new content quick enough to meet the current rate of progression of the top players.

    I'm pretty sure I've had a world boss dodge before, but I don't have any screenshots for it.

    So World bosses will be like that : The players that are higher with power and higher runes lvl and better heros ( Bloodstrom , King Thesues , etc.."Damage dealers" ) they will be dealing tons of damage and they will own the leaderboard of WB so there would be no chance to some lower players to get a chance to reach 1st , 2nd , 3rd spot.

    I can really *clap* and say nice unorganized suggestion by developers.

    Im out of this Thread , have fun and good luck with that Suggestion. the maximum thing that i would do is if this idea got implemented and was so bad i would simply quit this game and save my money. Problem solved.
