I think that things are getting absurd at this point and probably stuns should be removed, or else Baal should automatically break out of all stuns on the 6-8th round. But I don't make these decisions.
Another idea to explore would be the boss having more skills than his AOE-kill-everything skill.

An AOE-stun skill much like Queen Bryn's "Swift Pyre" that is cast every 4th round.

A "Dispel" skill that removes all stuns on the boss that is cast every 6th round.

An AOE morale-remover like Flavius's "War Cry" that is cast every 8th round.

The boss being able to block, counterattack, and dodge as well.
