    3. Have jobs that interfere with WB events

The most common is 1. At this point of the game, there are still many people out there with Gaurdian and IronHeart sets, and doing one lab a day, if that. They complain about the "big guys" and miss the point entirely. I have watched so many people who used to do poorly in Banishes become top 5/10 in weeks once they figured out that LB set's were the key to doing better. This isn't an easy or cheap game. I think too many people are misguided about how well they should be doing simply because they think so. That being said, with a little motivation, a player 1/3rd of the power of us "big guys" can easily take over the banish rankings. I know it can happen, I have seen it several times on server 1.
I tend to agree there Deuc. I can just about scrape 2 labs a day, while grinding gear. I've only just got my 3rd LB spirit today and it's not because I'm lazy or not trying I really can't afford to spend that much but neither I am envious of those that can it's the way of the World.

To be honest I'm beginning to fall behind. Doesn't mean I'm not trying as I've completed the Death Sands and all the HR bosses but unless you spend a lot it's difficult to compete with the speed of growth of the ever strengthening big boys. So it irks a bit when I see comments such as 'lazy' and 'it's their fault for not trying'. There are some who do moan about doing well and then say 'can't be bothered' I agree.

But lets not box the smaller guys in the same group as some of them really are trying but it's becoming much more difficult to compete.

Clearly no idea if I can see from how you interpreted it. I've spoken to a few smaller players in my guild regarding why they don't boost? Their answers is what's the point. So of course the next question is why, what's the problem? Their answer, they don't get much more if they boosted.

They basically feel the gap between the bigger and smaller is widening and after speaking to a friend of mind about the rewards he was shocked by the difference. It annoys him that he's been working t his account hard but he described it like 'climbing up a sheer cliff', he also admitted he 'can't be bothered much about Baal or Cerb anymore he just does it for the Assistant.

Which is why I commented on more evenness. I didn't mean if you did more damage you get the same as everyone else who took part, I meant by slightly reducing what the top players take away and slightly upping the lower ranks rewards rather than them just relying on the tiny hope of getting the 10m last hit might encourage them to boost and grow more. Everybody wins.

Teamwork is about helping each other out to make your team a success. And I know perfectly well how Banish works, but trying to say that it's not about power is saying is like saying the wheel isn't man's greatest invention. Of course the guy with the biggest stick will win every time, it's common sense! Without these big guys slogging away at a 1.25b Banish your team wouldn't have a boss that size.

The smaller guys do help but their comparable damage is tiny. I just thought it's time we remembered them a bit more. I do my best showing them formations and telling them which runes to upgrade but even so there is little incentive there.

It does, but it what you think teamwork is that counts
There is so many things I could say here.

    1. If the smaller players want to do the damage the bigger players are doing - or more precisely as Morgan stated shrink the gap - WORK ON YOUR ACCT - STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT IT. They should not get REWARDED FOR JUST BEING THERE AND TRYING, THIS ISNT TBALL.
2.If the members of your team arent doing enough damage to make themselves happy or not enough to do a goal - the team is the problem not the goal
    3. Anyone who does not boost for banish - does not understand the game
    4. EVENNESS????????????????- Is there a way to block a thread this one is hurting my head

I can relate with you on that. I spent a 3-4 week period where I wasn't sure if I'd continue playing and therefore I fell behind. This was right when Thorsday and Tav Tuesday took effect so I fell pretty far behind, and right off the first page completely. When I decided to keep going, and kicked it up a notch, I should have made notes on my progress and shared them with new players. I made good time on the comeback but I saw all the hardships along the way. I had some real tough luck and understand how coining comes into play when building. I try not to judge others without thinking about that. My point is that Banish, as it is now, played the largest role of my progress. I put most of my effort into getting the most out of WB as I could, and it payed off pretty well, I'd say.
In my opinion, changing the way banish works would only prove to make it even harder for the smaller group to compete, therefore reducing numbers even more on already vacant servers. Possibly even reducing numbers on older servers as well.
Btw, I have a great Banish form for people with 3 LB sets that get's amazing damage numbers. If your interested, PM me

250m banish for small player gets him less coins for his hits.
The gap remains equal in percentage when the big guy comes in.
    All benefit from bigger banish.

Could they benefit more? Yes, by doing more damage.
When they boost they do more damage and the higher powered ones do less damage.
This reduces the gap and evens out the field due to it finishing faster.
Boosting is almost always worth the credits...unless you don't take the time to change formation.
On a sidenote what some call working hard others call being lazy.
I feel hard work in the right way will be reflected in results period.
Proof of this for me lies in several non-coiners having top 5-10 positions on several servers.

This thread has gone from lag issues to stunning banish and now is turning towards leveling out rewards.
It is starting to look like a real conversation!
I am enjoying it. Maybe we should rename it to General discussion? .

If I am understanding this statement. You are suggesting how much damage one person does depends on what other players do? Otherwise how could the gap between players change?

If you are saying that - This is a theory many of us have kicked around since beta. I do not believe it. Regardless of who is in or not in banish I do about the same amount of damage.
How many people ar ein a banish and how much each person does will effect your total damage because more people doing more damage will make banish finish faster giving you less rounds to do damage. So you total damage is effected. But your average per round damage is not imo effected by how much damage other players do.

    Lol.

You must be doing the 10m hp banish boss.

I think you're just jealous of all the other servers who manage the bigger hp bosses.

    Tell me I'm not correct.
    Incorrect.

    Still with me?

2750 rep is doubled due to guild bonus so thats now 5500 rep. Over 7 hits again is about 780 rep.

So we have 780 rep a hit (doing about 10mil damage) on 250mil cerb. If you can do those hits with that line up of heroes, i'll eat my hat.

Kruize, here is the screen shot from today. It was with 80% buff so not my full damage day. But I think you get the message…

Per turn rep. Again this is 80% buff and an average turn.

Not quite 800-1000 even with 100% buff, so my hat is safe.

The main point is your selling yourself short with the team though.

So I tried the De Luc hero with Herja to keep his morale up. He does do more dmg... but taking out a dmg hero to accomplish this did not improve my overall dmg.
I would say overall, it was about similar if not a little lower.

Using Shayd to keep the boss stunned as much as possible and herja at the bottom to keep her from being hit to keep De Luc moraled until his turn to be hit came... I still found that having a hero with no morale drain and doing dmg to be more overall.

Using Blood as sub... with main being the one being hit first from Banish Boss.. Then rotation would be Shayd, De Luc, Herja, and Pompey .. in that order of hit from the boss.

EDIT: 5 - 8% less dmg overall vs. my original set up. I think this is great if on does not have the right hero's to place in formation, but with Pompey, Blood, Kahn, KT all not losing any morale, there is better formation vs. De Luc + Herja.

Don't use herja with lance. It's fine if he does a physical attack every other turn- especially since he seems to crit more with a physical attack.
