Should Stuns be Part of Banish Events

The users on this forum often complain when threads are closed that Tynon are 'sweeping things under the carpet'. By suggesting I or another mod close this thread you are trying to do the same. As I replied to Herby, if Tynon change it what can we do about it other than change our formations.

Incidentally the level 11 and 12 rune thread is open. I reedited the title this one because someone commented on Banish stuns and Dawnseeker on behalf of Tynon put forward a suggestion to remove stuns. The discussion then changed direction and since it is one which players like to have a comment on and for the most of it have put forward their views well within forum etiquette, I see no reason to close it.

It shouldn't matter who is posting on the forums, if forums were previously closed for going off topic so should this one.

Also, as a volunteer forum moderator, it would be highly expected of you Morgan, to be unbiased in your views in the posts that you make in this forum.

It doesn't take a genius to find out which way you lean on Morgan. Just need to read some of your posts.

It shouldn't matter who is posting on the forums, if forums were previously closed for going off topic so should this one.

Since most of you contributed widely to the new topic, demanding a thread be closed because it's gone off the original is a tad hypocritical don't you think?

The highest single round hit i've seen anyone do in 1.25bil banish is 49mil. That's a long way from finishing the boss in a single uninterrupted stunlock.

You misunderstand, Morgan. I wasn't replying to that particular post, but the one before. I believe this thread should stay open, so that others may express their opinions on the great many topics thrown around here.

I saw Booyyaaaaa from Server 1 get 53m damage in one round, and uncountable 40m-45m rounds. Keep in mind, we haven't seen any of these in well over a week, hence my post about something being changed in WB events lately.

My apologies, Herby does tend to multi post which tends to mislead. However, my views are unbiased which is why I make neutral posts, it seems everyone just likes to lump me in with one side or another. I then get get accused of 'not reading posts properly' when more often or not mine are often misinterperted.

This happens to several of us here, especially when it's concerning something like Banish Events, where some folks are very protective of the things they've done to get the results they get.

Maybe but you didn't say that when closing the thread of lvl 11 and 12 runes in which also a lot had contributed as well and was much more useful to our actual gameplay than this particular thread and even though that thread has been reopened the information on the runes has been removed making it useless. So when you took the action of closing a thread earlier as it went off topic i don't see why it should be different for this one ?

I know where your're coming from, people are protective of what they achieved. My only comment on the 'dark side' that the rewards could be evened out a bit, so more players get resources.

But it's not closed. I only closed it temporarily to clean it up after a small group stampeded through it.

That being said, when you state opinion, it is always biased.

My biased opinion on how rewards are distributed in banish is this;
I came to this game and saw others win and get great rewards.
I worked extremely hard to pass those people in any way I could to get the rewards.
I feel my hard works earns me the rewards I get. I feel entitled due to the ammount of cash and time I have spend in the game.
I don't feel bad because I feel someone who spends 30 minutes in the game should NOT get the same advantages and rewards.
In the end this game is a competition. The olympics would not be fun if they gave all of them a gold medal...

That being said, if Tynon wants a change, they will make one, regardless of their hard working patrons.
All I can say to that is:

I like to think that this game is like a capitalist society. The hard work and money we put in get us the rewards we earned and payed for, moving us up the ladder of damage and rewards. If we start to rely on the "government" (Devs) to even things out so that everyone gets more even rewards, regardless of the amount of hard work and money invested, the game will (and has already in some cases) succumb to the fate of all socialist entities.
I apologise for the political metaphor in advance, but it does fit perfectly.
