When fighting Elite Pursuer, I noticed that Saffron, with almost identical stats, takes 3k less damage than Ahmose. I ended up switching to Saffron to tank Pursuer instead of Ahmose. Greater Rampart's damage reduction no longer matches the description. Anyone else notice this?
I shouldn't have used "nerf" in the thread title. Unless the skill description is updated, any difference in actual damage reduction compared to the description should be considered a bug.

I haven't been on today, so unless this happened overnight, it hasn't been nerfed (or I somehow didn't notice it despite using Ahmose all the time).
It didn't happen overnight. I'm pretty sure when i first tested this, Ahmose had a better damage reduction than Saffron. Saffron's is slightly better now

i think you are right. damage is reduced by about 55% now instead of 70%... i can see this on a boss fight that i've been working on for the past 2 weeks... i predict they will update the skill description to read 55%.

Thanks for checking smokingfox. They might have changed the boss, but I think it is Ahmose that got weaker because Saffron now has better damage mitigation (with almost identical stats). I believe Shield Wall is 60% reduction. Fascile's 55% seems about right. I started the Pursuer fight without morale and took a hit from Pursuer. Then started the fight again with full morale and took the same hit with Rampart up. I did this twice and the reduction was within the 55% range. Of course, probably need more samples to be accurate, but definitely less than 60%.
I'm not surprised that they would nerf Ahmose. With Maria, he makes a formidable PVE tank. Since Rampart also gives 30% block increase, it seems to make sense to lower his damage reduction to make him inline with Saffron.
queen P still tops that.. as long as she survives and does more dmg then she has hp she will never die.
Not true, a stun could be lethal to her. And lol I like that logic, "As long as she survives... she will never die". Very true indeed, O wise one. Lol.

and i was talking about 1 round of survival to then get back all the hp she lost..
but yes pvp tanks a different matter. but then ahmose saffron are bad to because the shield won't work vs magic.
Only if she can survive each round of combat. She gets a lot of white and blue saints, so it is difficult to get enough HP on her.
