Note that if you are a spectator, you do not gain the full amount of tickets if your side wins. Often you will get half the amount displayed.
This changes though if your side lost last round and won this round, you will get a multiplier applied to your bets.
It seems to factor in the number of players betting for each side. For example, if you bet and 100 other people bet on player A and 1000 people bet on player B, and player A wins, the people who bet on player A will get a lot more tickets than if 500 bet on player A and 600 bet on player B. At least that is what appears to be happening from my perspective.
