Whats going on with CW?

For the last couple of days CW has been on a countdown, which i assumed meant that enrolment would be open when it finished which should have been sometime this morning. Now its showing "Enrolment is closed" with no further timer.
I was expecting to be able to enrol this morning and there to be a new timer of 24/48h to the beginning of prelims?
Anyone know what's going on?

Just spoken to another member of my guild, he was apparently able to enrol a couple of days ago and has a fight in 6hours. I know for a fact i wasn't able to enrol yesterday because i tried. and if i missed the enrolment wouldn't I still see a battle on the screen which i could bet on if i wasn't participating?
