New Feature Request: Main Character Name-Change

There are numerous and varied reasons to let us change our main hero's name:
E.G.

• Typo or spelling error on original name
• To give account to another player or family member who wants to personalize the name
• To add guild symbols or nomenclature to the name
• To re-establish a player reputation and legacy fresh if returning from absence or to get away from other harassing players
• To change name to a name more to your liking since someone else ruined your original cool name by copying it and spelling it slightly different to confuse people or harass you
• You just thought of a really cool name that you prefer and want to start going by it rather than some silly name you originally created when you were a noob
• Etc.

Perhaps make this a FREE option ONE time for all accounts. After that make it a purchasable New-Identity spell or token etc. that one can get in Fair, Arena, or Lab etc.

IMHO none of those should be reasons for a name change. typo or spelling error, well lets just say you should have thought of that before you finalized. however, you could just redo it with a new email. if players are harassing you then you should contact customer service instead because you are most likely not the only one to whom he is doing this to. account trading is forbidden. the other points are just rephrasing and redundant.
i think this option is not given to actually prevent abuse for almost the same reasons.

that all being said, i strongly believe that the GM's should pay more attention to the created names and should add a word filter. some names you cant even write into chat without getting the **** instead. on our server some guy thought it is funny to create names like " > ". everytime > shows up in chat it bugs the chat and for example when > does something on the high seas the entire history gets erased.
however, those are just examples why manual scans should also be added to catch players that avoided word filters by misspelling or adding graphic-lettering. there is some really offensive names on our server alone and i can only imagine how bad it is on some other servers.

I agree. And, if there were people bullying you, I can promise you, after you changed your name, your rank AND guild will still be the same and they will just go on, now just using your new name... If really want to have a name change, you can write to customer support and they will change it if they deem the reason good.

I agree with Riverbummer.

Other MMOs allow name changes, whether a single free one for the first time, or paid ID/Name Changes.

I don't see any reason why Tynon shouldn't have that feature as well.

In one of the other games I've played, they allowed name changes for a cost. Personally it annoyed me keeping up with what everyone was called... but all of my friends kept doing it multiple times. #5 is a really good reason to have this feature though.

This is against the ToS and therefore could result in having that account closed, so this isn't a good reason

Can't think why anyone would want a 'guild symbol' or the like and it would be a pain to have to fork out to change when I changed guilds.

You can change your name a dozen times and you'll always been found. Really not a good enough reason to change your name.

You get a free option when you create your account but I do agree there should be an option to change your name if you wish.

Come on evony players you know exactly why we cant do name changes in this game. They learned from their mistake in evony. Name changes facilitate TOS violations.

This is going on all over the Tynon universe already. On server 30 one very wealthy player has destroyed the entire game play. She put over $10K into her toon and made it impossible for any one to get around her in HP (including herself) and has also purchased up all the other top player accounts from the guilds she crushes with her other two alts who are almost as high in power. She has at least 6 alt accounts of all the top players she has extorted into leaving (and purchased their accounts in private paypal deal) and controls all 10 GW cities and ruined it for everyone else. Tynon does not do a single thing against players like her who pump in thousands of $$ to dominate a server and never will. They can't detect duplicate accounts either - which 85% I am estimating of all players have to get the other side of the maps for pirate sailings - either as an in guild puppet account to sail with or as a slay-me-for-map account they beach-and-hit for map.

To be honest I can't think a single reason to want to do something like that in this game...it other's yes, but this one it would quickly become meaningless. I do think name changes should be allowed though. To matt: ToS violations are facilitated regardless of whether or not someone can change there name. I fully support this idea.

Me either. And I tried to reason with her and asked her "do you really at the end of the day get a sense of accomplishment and achievement by using the big coin and buy out the competitors approach to game play?" She insulted me and said she enjoyed seeing the small weak people squirm. Some are apparently so lacking in character and virtue that this is therapy for their demented impulses.
