Actually, when the gender of the person is unknown, the masculine pronoun is correct. The masculine form means either a male, or a person of unknown gender. It's actually the same way in most Western languages, including all romance languages (French, Spanish, Italian, etc.).

However, the most correct way to word something is to avoid using personal pronouns if the gender of the object is unknown. So the sentence could maybe say, "Luckily, Randey doesn't."

where is this banner, when or where does it appear ?

It is that annoying thing that appears from time to time in the middle of the screen about 1/3 from the top with words scrolling from right to left. If there are multiple announcement ones stays there for a certain around of time and then the next 'rolls up' from the bottom. It is click transparent but positioned where it hides the following:

• The 3 available stakes in the Arena
• The amount of time left before the Fair cycles.
• Some information on players that you are checking equipment on
• Other information that I can not remeber right now.
