Just one example:

When you buy 1k gems now, you also get 50 tokens, which has led to new players on new servers having much better spirit levels than older servers... And that is just tokens, many new things have been added to gem packs since X-mas. If you ask me, coiners on older servers should have gotten some kind of bump for that, but that's just me. If I had all the 50 tokens for all the 1k gems I purchased, I'd be maxed out on judgement Spirits atm.
The worst thing they ever did was making tokens purchasable. I once said I'd like to see Tickets redeemable for tokens, but have since changed my opinion of that.

So, essentially it's VERY MUCH easier to play now and VERY viable to start an account on an older server, if you plan on spending. F2P, not so much.
