That is just wishful thinking man the best way to get more players is too merge servers. What tynon needs to do is when they start new servers players need o stick to that one and play ofr along time instead of quitting soon. Right now the game is mostly just individual performance except for GW they need to bring in more team work in the game and that would help bond players more and making them play longer

You don't really know GW till you play outside servers 1-10

To be honest I think the largest problem with player retention is lack of interest past the first 2-4 hours or so on a new server. I'm pretty sure that most of the consistent players on this game were people who played Evony and understood the social aspect when they joined this one. If Tynon were to boost that aspect of the game I believe more people would stick around past the first 1-4 days. I also think increasing the population of servers will decrease the need for "noob friendliness" because competition will be spread out.

Yea evony created a social network between the players of the same alliance, this lacks in tynon the only guild chat i see is L or R ?

I've been around since October and continue to actively play, and I had not heard of Evony before joining Tynon. And I'm not here for the social aspect either.

I said most, I know there are several players that never heard of or played Evony, but most of the people who started here came from there.

Andy: I like your idea but if falls flat once you shift to the 11+ servers. Cross realm GW's, not to mention Caribbean, etc. Overall I think we just need to re-populate servers 11-whatever-they're-at-now. and deal with the consequences. I think full mergers of 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70 are in order. 71+ should just have new players funneled into them. Their populations seem to be a bit better right now. And I think Tynon just really needs to fuel the social aspect. That's the main driving force behind people continuing to play a game like this even when it gets frustrating at times (like all mmos do). Increase server populations and server entropy will slow down exponentially.

I agree with everything you said. The ones that quit after a few hours will still quit no matter what you do. The game is not for them. The ones I am trying to keep from quitting are the ones that play for a few days and quit because of frustration with the game. I know that the Developers believe that the players should find things by trial and error, but that leads to a lot of frustration and that, in my opinion, id the primary reason that we loose the players that make it past the first day or two. I am not trying to make the game more noob friendly, just provide a 'training area' where the noobs can learn the game by competing with other noobs and and be able to get advice from experienced players.

One of the most frustrating things for Noobs is sailing. I tried to get the dominant guild in the server to agree to a no sinking if the combined power in the boat was under 4 mil and they were not interested.

Yes I am pro noob friendly but only to a certain extent with everything there has to be a balance and yes I do not like the idea of giving away lab tokens in those packs ( though I am guilty of buying them)

Amen to that, including being guilty. But it they are there for the Noobs why not for me, so I do not feel guilty.
