    Letting smaller players catch up??

I see alot of posts about this concept. The way the game is designed, if someone were to start server 1 today, they have no hope of catching the top 10. I am fine with this. In fact I think that is the way it should be. But what about the players on server 1 who are ranked 11-30 who are trying to catch the top 10? What about 31-50 who are trying to catch 11-30? Their only hope is for the players above them to play less then them and use some strategies to improve their own accounts or to coin like crazy, or just sheer dumb luck.

I for one would have no issue if their was a mechanism in the game for these players to catch up more, but not at the cost of the top players. I dont want the top players to play less, I don't think we should have to rely on pure dumb luck, and to coin or not to coin is a personal choice.

So after some thinking I have an idea, its sort of combining various ideas in the forums and from the people I play with. Its not terribly complicated.

Basically the way we have to do well in this game right now is Banish.; If you havent figured out that banish is the most important event in the game - and THE mechanism the top players use to get to be the top players- then I just told you our secret.

    Then we have
    GWF
    Rag
    and the assistant.

Most of this stuff is done form 10am to 7pm. a whole 4 events

What i propose is this: MORE EVENTS

    double the number of banishes
have a second rag - with increased rewards for both
have a couple more server or realm wide events a day.

I would like to see a total of 12 events per day. That are each at specific time- About every 2 hours during the day. This would make events span all day long with little to no chance of one person being able to do them all. The order of the events would have to be decided in a way to make it so that all the events that give the best rewards dont happen in one half of the day while the events that give the least rewards happen in the other half.

Now here's the catch. With the exception of something like GWF, every event has a entry fee. Say a Golden Ticket - just to make something up. Every player gets 6 golden tickets a day at reset. The Golden tickets do rollover. SO if you only use 4 one day you have 2 left that carry over to the next day. Additional Golden Tickets can be in
    arena chests
    guild chests
    flips
and purchased for the low low price of 100 gems each- this makes it so only the craziest of coiners would buy 6 every single day.

Now I am not positive if making it so you can get additional tickets or letting them rollover is the best idea. It may be a bad idea and I haven't thought that part all the way through.

But the point is make more daily events, especially ones that give rewards similar to Banish - that are spread out through the day giving more people a chance to participate in more events and making it so that it is next to impossible for a player to constantly be in every single event every single day.

If a player is still capable of participating in all events - then adding more events just speeds up progression for players - especially the top players(until we run out of things to do because new maps and hr bosses are not released).

And before you all say fix the issues we have first, the issues will never be solved 100% - get over it. Of course I want current issues resolved, but there will always be bugs and glitches in this game - so why wait for something to happen that will never fully come to light? Instead find ways to make the game more interesting and fun and accept that there is going to be lots of road bumps along the way.

I'm all for the 'more events' spread out during the day - so many players work odd shifts or have life/family restraints so are unable to make the 2 banishes, Rag or GW etc. More events would help those players grow. I think also it would increase player retention, without the top players taking a loss. Good Idea

I think this is quite a good idea Matt
I would personally love to have more events especially over the lunch hour in the European servers, dont know when that is for your servers
I also feel that the lady needs to be brought one hour back as it is very late at night and a difficult time to get on for "some" people
Gw is perfect where it is whihle Rag should also be brought an hour back

This is imo of course people wont agree it :P

There is a way. It's not that difficult to find out.

Herby and wicked. I agree its all business, And I have no issue with people who drop money into the game. I have spent some money myself. That is why i suggested that the Golden Tickets be available for gems. It gives tynon an opportunity to make money that way.

And i am by no means asking for what we already have be changed. Just add to it - more content - more opportunities. I am trying to look at this from multiple view points at once. I think many of us have asked for more content, alot of us want new maps and HR bosses - and I don't want those delayed. BUt I think this game is really centered towards a certain time of day, and would have more appeal if there were more events spread out through out the day during the entire 24 hour period. I think it would give alot of players what they are looking for in the game - thereby retaining more players, creating new players and helping tynon make more money. If there were more events to boost- that will generate some gem sales - if in order to participate in more events you had to pay gems = more sales = adding new areas of competition = more gem sales. I think more daily events spread out throughout the entire day is a big win for tynon in the long run

This game, as in all games, are games of attrition. Players start and leave, for various reasons. More new players start. It's not meant for everyone to be at the same level. What you propose would benefit all players, so those ahead stay ahead. I fail to see how this changes that or helps newcomers catch up. Or if it is something worth worrying about. Let them learn and enjoy the journey, it's a game.

I do agree with more events but no golden tickets. We don't have enought people show up sometimes to do events now. But i know also some will be able to events at diffrent time that don't get a chance to now.

This is how the idea helps some players catch up.
Not everyone can make every banish + rag + GWF every day- those that can get the furthest ahead usually.
Now if you simply add new events - there's no real change - maybe the guys who can make everything now cant make that new event and those who miss one banish a day can make the new event - MAYBE
BUt 1 or 2 new events already in the time frame of 10am -7pm server time = no real change in the game - except making us sit in front of our computers even more.

Now if you have enough events to make it take all 24 hours to do them - you create a situation where most normal people could not participate in every event. This then allows people to pick which events they will do that day based upon their schedule for that day. - This makes teh game more convenient and gives us more to do.

Now since most normal people wont be able to compete in all 12 events - it creates the opportunity for players who can not make every event we have now to make more events, thereby allowing them to catch up with players ahead of them.

Now in order to prevent people from doing all 12 events we add a mechanism of some sort - like the golden tickets- to make a normal max # of events a person would participate in. Other wise the best players are those who suffer from insomnia on a regular basis and have no life away from tehir computer

Then in order for tynon to make money off all this - they have more events for people to boost in and spend gems - which hopefully increases sales.
They make the game more appealing to a larger audience instead of just those of us who can fit in the events that are already there
And they can sell extra opportunities to people to participate in events for gems.

Just adding more events does not really help anyone- adding many more events that span throughout the day and limiting how many the average person can participate in - I believe will increase interest in the game - allow more players to feel they have a better opportunity to catch up to players ahead of them, and overall increase gem sales

hahaha i love this herby,i for one like some concepts of your idea matt, but on the server i play there is just 16 active players(not including all our alts) 15 on water realm, what we do is just slow down growing all together to let others catch up,by giving up our places in banish events, not entering rag,and we share all our arena gems with smaller players, maybe give this concept a thought, instead of the top 12 being greedy.
