You are assuming that there would be more then 2 banish events and that they would be scheduled when the big players are able to play. There a multitude of ways to lay this out. Since there are some people interested in details let me try and lay out an basic idea of what I am thinking.
All times are of course server time

    1 am - Rag
    4 am - Noble lady
7 am Capture the flag (yeah Im just making this up as a filler event)
    10 am Cerebus
    1pm Rag
    4pm Noble Lady
    7pm GWF
    10 pm Baal
NOw this setup would probably not require limitations and would allow mor eplayer sto participate in more events - maybe tweak the times a little but it gives you an idea

Now lets try a 12 event schedule

    12 am Capture the flag
    2 am rag
    4 am noble lady
    6 am Capture the flag
    8 am banish
    10 am rag
    12 pm noble lady
    2 pm capture the flag
    4 pm rag
    6pm banish
    8pm gwf
    10 pm noble lady

Now i just made up the Capture the flag idea and repeated things - the devs could actually make new events
With the 12 event schedule then you would definitely need a way to limit how many events players could do. SO even if they only created a capture the flag event and used my exact same schedule
Then you would just have to limit players to 2 banishes a day. Then depending on how great the rewards are for Capture the flag that may limited as well. The other events really don't need limited with the rewards as they are.

Now if the devs actually did this and created several new events- I would like to see for a 12 event per day 3 banish style events with a limit of 2 per day per player. But depending on new events created and the type of rewards the provide will really decide how much limiting is needed - and that can be done by timing and by some mechanism like the Golden Tickets or just making it so the game only allows you to do so many of each type of event.

I would love to see 2 guild style events, but not like GWF. In fact I would love to have GWF replaced entirely with a capture the flag event - i make a new post later on this idea. The problem with 2 Guild events is what if you have things like our current GWF system and you cant get enough people at both times you could get royally nailed. SO Im not in favor of 2 GWF style events but 2 events that are guild oriented.

And please dont look at this post and go 2 am what are you thinking ? This is just me putting rough ideas down to hopefully explain myself better. I am not saying DO EXACTLY THIS. Im just trying to explain myself better

I think there should be more than 2 banish events, but with a limit of 2 banishes per day. Otherwise this idea doesn't really make up for people missing a banish event.

Suggestion for guild event: sailing type mini-game. Two guilds on either side of a body of water, first to get X number of boats to the other side wins. 5 mins to get to the otherside, 5 mins cooldown after failed attack. You don't heal after attacks if you are sailing (but yes if on shore). You can perform operations: change map, ditch map, get map (assigns random) at the cost of 3 minutes. Haven't thought it completely through how things would play out, but think it works.

This is nuts. Your posts are so long Matt, I can't even take time to read them. Ad nauseum... I still don't think this helps the noobs who can't be, or choose not to be, on all the time. It would only make the differences wider cuz most of the players that are far ahead are due to activity level, spending level and knowledge of the game and events. They will just keep growing... sigh.

The only true way for noobs to get hooked on the game is by improving the social aspect of Tynon.

Something I readily agree with, and the only real way for that to happens is true player retention.

I'd go for the simpler options which would be easy to implement:

    1. 4 x Banishes spread out over a 24hr period - but you can only participate in 2 of them.
    2. 2 x GW's, 12hrs apart, but you can only do participate in 1 of them.

Just dont let new players on old servers or have a popup message saying, "hey stupid don't sign up there or your gonna cry all the time, unless you have 200 grand to drop join a newer server, for example 556 or 557". Prob solved.
