Thread: I think I may have finally figured it out

I think I may have finally figured it out

SO we are all complaining about lack of content, But I think I just realized something. Maybe I am looking too far into it

We know all the maps are ready up to 100.

The problem is the bosses are under powered and you receive no rewards for beating them.

Basically all they need to do is adjust stats to bosses and turn on the flips.

The HR BOSSES for Judgement gear are done. They may need stats adjusted but they are done just not released. They are the next bosses in order from quests. There are no graphics or story lines to write. They just need to set stats and turn them on.

So why dont they take a day or three and do this. Turn them on in beta so they an be tested?

Its a baffling question to me, but I may have found the answer.

Based upon the nerfing of the game in many areas since DAY 1 of LIVE, uCool is more interested in micro managing player behavior and manipulating our spending patterns, then developing a game that is fun to play.

They constantly do things to get us to spend money.

A bunch of smaller VIPs were getting tons of spirits while bigger spenders were not. SO lets add tokens to the packs

Players spend to get ahead and beat the maps and bosses when they come out and farm mats ahead of time.
Then smaller players spend to catch up to the players who are already done who are bored and waiting for more content
Then when those smaller players have caught up, the next group of players spend to catch up while now 2 groups of players are waiting on new content
then this goes on till the spending stops and then they release more content to start the pattern all over again

I believe that new content is actually sitting on the server waiting to be turned on when spending falls below a certain level - which is why they don't tell us when new content is coming, because they are waiting for us to stop spending first to release it.

Could be, that would explain the new card broker lol...I don't recall anyone asking for it....but there it is, first draw is free( mostly blues) and then its 50 gems a pop or more I don't know since I have not paid 50 gems once yet for a card from him, could cost more the more you buy, shrug....

I also recall Dawn saying something about maybe expanding the Bank ..but only if it cost gems to open the slots lol.....why cant we get some for free? Nvm ..I know the answer to that.

Well, I can see your point. But many people are panic stricken because they fear all of the lower guys who are close enough and coin will eventually catch up to them and they no longer will be the dominant force. Well, this unfortunately is going ot happen and by rushing the DEV team to produce a less QA'd content is even Worse. I hope they test the hell out of it before the new content is released...

    Such as:

Making sure they do not break things like saints (getting whites on a gold hero) when a new hero is introduced... or making sure that people when they do transfers to the new hero's do not get the wrong classifications of skills fit for their hero types, etc. These small details will make for a nice and smooth launch. QA is so important, i rather they take their time, then to rush it to appease a few elite payers who are scared out of their wits of people catching them (which is inevitable). If you coined enough, you will always have the edge.. and you can start to craft the next 2 sets... for 2nd and 3rd heros if you are done, then start to get them black smited up to 100... W/E.... keep cranking along so you can be better prepared.

You don't get things free for playing an F2P game, have you not played any other F2P games before?

And that was the plan all along. If you don't let other players have the "illusion" that they would catch up with the bigger players, why would the other smaller players be willing to spend money? Of course the workaround is to open more servers, but then you guys will complain about "server-not-full". It's damned if you do and damned if you don't situation, really

I fully agree with skinz on this. Well explained.

ANd this is where there appears to be no validity to my theory. But as I have said before the folks over at uCool are not as dumb as they appear. They let us think they are screw ups, when they are not. They intentionally leave these bugs in place, so we have something to worry about other then NEW CONTENT. They can then release patches which are mainly "bug fixes" to give the appearance of doing something and justifying the delay of new content.

None of the things you mention skinz should be effected by releasing new HR bosses or turning on the bonuses of the quests bosses and upping their stats. And this new content as I mentioned is basically ready, or possibly has been ready for weeks.

There are many theories in this World, the Big Bang Theory, the Search for Sentient life beyond our planet and now we have 'Matt's Theory on How Tynon is out Get Us'. Good grief I'm beginning to wonder whether I'm moderating a game discussion forum or a protest rally. I got to say guys everyone has the right to their opinion and there is nothing wrong in expressing it. However, recently I'm finding clicking the 'Training' tab and watching my toon's exp go up far more stimulating than reading what's being posted here about this forum.

    • Dawnseeker has agreed he'll try and a 'closed communication thread' incorparated if agreed to by his bosses. Just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. By the way I fully support this idea
    • Those who have completed the current quests and Heroic Realm bosses are in the minority. New maps will be launched (if I'm understanding Dawn correctly) sometime in the future and because it's not happening as fast as some of you like, please stop banging on about it. I can't speak for the community as a whole but it's boring the heck out of me
    • In the meantime use the time wisely and build another sub up. It'll keep y'all occupied for at least a short while.

I won't close this thread for now but remember this forum is about social interaction between players and player help and guidance rather than a soapbox.

    Thanks all.

and grinding a second sub gear? that takes a week? i'm allrdy done with that..

a 100m+ player has got to be done with the 3rd sub aswell by now seeing as how long it takes..

I am not sure about this Matt. I have opened many tickets and they have taken the time to fix and remediate them. I am sure they are not intentionally leaving bugs in. I mean who wants to deal with more support tickets? These tickets costs them money and resources to resolve.

I would much rather wait an extra month or two to get a fully QA'd content, than a rushed job where we get more frustrated with messed up situation.

Imagine your Arch angel Gold hero getting a white saint? How are we going to erase that one saint? resetting is not an option...

Also imagine where a new boss glitches and all of a sudden you don't get your plan, or a wrong plan....
