Eulogy of a Pissed-off VIP Player
I am not happy right now with these new limits, on a 1.25b banish I would usually rack up around 75-80mil coins and 36-40mil credits. Those rewards fit in perfectly with my current blacksmith and rune demands. For some reason, Tynon seems to want the spenders keeping the servers alive to leave the game. If this is their intention, then I would happily do so. They fixed one glitch and then threw another rock in the path of player progression.
I know for a fact that our money is going to some dude in Hong Kong who seems to be running things here at Tynon. Well if he ever comes on here and read these posts then know this, if Tynon keeps pulling this crap then you will lose all your paying players. These patches make no sense, while there are many other issues and glitches in the game that needs fixing and are being ignored. The limits on banish, runes, talent, and equipment needs to be removed and made endless, so that we can keep progressing.
The reason players spend money on this game is to get an edge. If we are being held back intentionally for other players to catch-up, then its not worth spending any money on here.
Dawn, please do your job, let the programmers know that they need to remove these ridiculous limits. I am aware that you are a small operation and cannot release new content every two weeks, but some of us have been stuck for over a month with nothing to do. We need new maps, quests, and uncap the limits.
The complaining on the forums will reduce drastically if you just let us know what is being worked on, when it will be released, and elicit feedback from players BEFORE they even go to beta. I have managed marketing agencies, worked with game developers and designers, and even help new startups get off the ground; however, in all my time I have never seen so much mismanagement, bad customer service, and lack of communication. From my point-of-view, it seems as if your company is deliberately sabotaging itself by discouraging paying players from spending more money and non-paying players from ever spending a dime on this game.
I am not sure if you noticed, but there is another game called “Lord of Ultima,” they also introduced ridiculous caps on their game and provided a similarly horrible customer service that drove away paying players. Well, come next month they are going out of business; it would be a real shame to see the same happen to Tynon when there is real potential here to make this a great and lasting game.
I hope these thoughts give Dawn and Tynon some pause and reflection on what they are doing before the damage become irreversible.
