Yes that could be a good system as well. The increased realm cap could be justified with a lowered player cap. Still, that means top players can get 200M coins and 80M credits per day, which seems a bit much. I think limiting top players to around at max ~50-60M coins per banish should be goal until new content and BS/Rune/Talent caps are raised.
I think players getting more coins/credits will mean they need to spend MORE gems rather than less. Thus Herby's logic is very inherently flawed. People spend 100s of gems each Thorsday, if there were no banishes, people will not spend those 100s of gems.
Yeah but sometimes don't have enough gems, so end up pouring more coins to runes and wasting the credits (heaven tavern). Sucks that now even properly sainting heroes take gems, I can see myself having a LOT of extra credits and unspent tavern spirits oon lol.
At my budget I only set aside 250 gems per week for Thorsdays. As a result my armor suck and my talents are nowhere near 100.
Well it costs gems to properly saint them up lol. And if you don't saint them up right, you cant even reset anymore. Oh, you can transfer them, but you lose stars in the process. So you can only transfer between 2nd line heroes, since you wouldn't want to mess with the stars on your powerhouses.
And since whole point is to dump credits here when you don't have gems to do talents, then you wouldn't want to spend gems here either. I just transfer saintings back and forth between Lance and Cianna now until I get a good Banish set of stats on both. Costs coins too though....![]()
Ok, time for my serious answer.
You're looking at it from a player's point of view. Try looking at it from a game developer's point of view.
With players all getting more and more stronger, the higher the amount of coins and credits they are getting from Banish.
If kept unchecked, players will be able to get 100m coins, 40m credits per Banish event alone, each.
Right now, players are already getting 50-60m coins, 20-25m credits per Banish event.
The top players are gaining 100m coins, 40m credits daily. That's around 700m coins, 280m credits per week.
And all of this is free. Nothing spent. Zilch. Only thing is to be online during Banish, refreshing each round.
As a game company, would you really want this? It's not a good business model.
Granted, there might not have been enough foresight at the creation of the game to anticipate players getting this strong, and getting as much rewards as they are getting now. But that is all in hindsight now. Tynon is their game, not ours. Therefore, new rules are always being imposed over time. As players adapt and develop, so does the game as well.
This new rule is to make sure players don't runaway with hundreds of millions, if not billions, of coins and credits.
There needs to be an upper limit on how much you can earn from an event.
