Most people use alts to get maps and farm for coins/credits. You cant do that if your in the same guild.
But if there is a multiplier to all guild events due to guild level which is effected by member size it opens the possibility of everyone just making alts to grow the guild to increase their bonus. but this is also already being done to add contributions to guilds to get them leveled up faster.

the problem with alts is never ending. It is a difficult one to solve but not impossible.
So possibly add in a that the acct must contribute. Right now an alt can sit idle in a guild indefinitely without ever contributing. SO lets add in some function that adds in you must pay to stay in your guild daily. Making it a price that is not to steep but high enough that running too many alts is gonna be to much of a pain to do.

Alts are impossible to prevent. It's just a matter of tracking behavior between accounts from the same I.P. if it is suspicious account is flagged and vetted. requiring accounts to contribute makes it difficult to ever leave the game for a few weeks etc.
