Logging into server 21.tynon.com or 30.tynon.com will not give you the same character. They are separate characters on 1 account. Like you have Bob the Archer on 21 and Phil the Warrior on 30.Any more info on the bold part? Don't really understand how it works, does it mean the character on server 30 got wiped since you are creating a new character? How do you log in to both characters??
If you only had 1 character from either server (example you played on server 21 but not 30), you are still free to make a 2nd character to reside on the server (by logging into server 30 and getting the new character creation screen). (Unsure if this will continue this way). At the moment its like a Tynon sanctioned alt.
But logging into either 21 or 30 gives you the same server base now. Same ranking pages, same guilds, same pirates etc etc.
sounds like an unintended consequence to me. I'd look to this being changed in short order.
How are the servers determined as to which server is merged?
Do they take into account newer servers for older servers for balanced game play of lvl of players on various servers based on age?
They most likely look at the revenue stream or lack there of to which servers get merged, the lowest ones get merged, the most profitable ones wont be, why mess with a good thing?
So your server is probably safe from a "merge"...PussyRoit.

Their biggest determining factor has always been server population and consistent play. They look at daily logs, spending patterns, etc. but the biggest factor is population not spending. I look for about 30-40 servers to be merged.
Sorry, did you mean all realms from both servers got put into, say, Forest Realm? Or did you mean All Forest from both realms were put in Forest, all Water into Water, etc?

How about guild contributions do you get to keep them all or even transfer to another guild when merging guilds.
As far as I have read these merges mean the following;
Your guild will remain in tact, including members.
You will be placed in the same realm as you were previously.
GW will be wiped clean ( does that mean that the top 10 servers will change to the new system or won't be merged?).
You will still have the option shown as being the server you previously inhabited but both are directing players to a same spot.
Name changes of guilds can occur and when they do you get a free change possibility.

Did character names change at all? Or did they not have any similar names around?
Have there been any bugs?

Servers 1-10 are not in (or at least shouldn't be) need of merges so it probably isn't going to be an issue for a long while.
