I agree, there is to much dead time on the game. In my realm players are quitting because there's nothing to do. even for me im afk most of the day because 30 mins in the morning im done. the quest monsters are two strong. also with the rag fights why not do them in division say D 1. 100000 and under
    D2. 100001 - 5000000
D3. 500001 -10 mil and so on and so on. As for GW why can the city be for each realm and a few city's for that server. that way you still have city's for the lesser powered guild and still city's that all the realms can fight after. but for me the main problem for the game is to much dead time. lower the power of the quest bosses. that will help give more time in the game and when players are playing more then there's more money being made. another thing is the rune temple, If I get the legendary rune keeper I want some thing good not some low power rune. the legendary keeper cost a lot and it not right to hand out a low power rune. Put in some more events for the day are more quest, such as mini quest. May like a side story on the people in the town. Where did they come from. How did they get to this city of tynon . Who is Shayd how did she come to be a mage. These story's could be the key to all the dead time.

Also wanted to add - looks like we have had 2 straight weeks of toons being in the place they were put in, in battle planning so Kudo's tynon for the fix.
Altho now its even more boring without the 'tynon' factor lol

Won't matter Matt, people play to win regardless. They will still pick the 'winning' side.

However got to give you kudos on a well thought out idea.

ahh but you see there is no real wining side

in my idea lets say teh participation rewards are 4m coins 2m cred
teh winning guild gets an additional 1m coin 500k creds.

thats not a lot to squawk over.

But now you have all those smaller guilds who refuse to merge in to the big guild who suddenly have the buffs, and can build. Starting to make them little guilds tougher and tougher to beat in gwf. Then when you got 4 of them all coming after you and you have to split your forces.

Thats the beauty of this very simple idea. every one becomes a winner. until such time they come up with something actually interesting to do for guild pvp. Everyone get to build more. If your tired of the people in your guild and want a change you can now do so without punishment of losing those city buffs. How many people you think are sitting in guilds only because of the buffs, but who like talking to the people in other guilds much better. Theres lots of different mind sets out there. But i think less are going to flock to an uber guild over a few creds/coins every day - where as going to them for these massive buffs is a no brainer and people will do that all day long.

I personally think everything should be changed to fix the problem of healthy competition in pvp and to make this game more sustainable, Ive outlined many ideas in the forums.some of them seem outlandish. But the underlying problem with teh game structure is the realms guilds and gwf. uCool recognized this early on and changed gwf on 11+. But that made the situation worse instead of better. its high time we throw out this outdated notion of guilds and realms and this boring idea of gwf pvp. revamp the whole thing - make things more competitive on all servers. Cater to the people who have been playing this game forever. Dont take things away give us new things. Give everyone the city buffs. Give everyone something new to do.

Matt, I actually like your plan, however you're wrong with this comment. You propose no reward for holding more cities, the reward is tied to guild level, and then additional for winning your battle. So why would anyone split their forces?

To deny the opposition bonus rewards for winning a battle. If you win all 4 battles, then your guild is the only guild getting the bonus.

    its simple
assign the buffs to guild level.
Keep gwf as is except your not fighting over a city/buff your fighting for rewards only cred/coin/exp/rep/contib

Both guilds get a participation reward equal; to what er get already - winning guild gets a small bonus

Thats the first stop gap measure to fixing the entire situation. Then the devs can work on making the pvp gwf thing interesting - after some new content maybe
Give the winning team an extra sail . I'd prefer sailing over additional rewards for winning...I just like the sea.

See i think you get it as well. Keep the reward for the winning guild small. It must be significant enough to make it worth doing, but not so big (like the city buffs) to give the winning guild significant advantage so noone else stands a chance

kinda disagree there Morgan - if say mattp's plan had been in place - those guilds who lost 80% of their members cause 1 guild on our server became dominant would stay cause they had invested in their guild and were lvl4-5-6 guilds - they quit cause of the buffs imo

Seen it with similar guild models in other games. Whoever was the big bad tended to have all the players-nature of the beast really. Buffs are the symptom rather than the cause.

    I agree with matt too.

If you shoot in all directions, you'll miss a lot, but sometimes you'll hit something.
That's what Matt has been doing lol
He's been suggesting a lot of ideas. Many were bad.
    But this one is good!
