Like Deuc, I tend to agree with mostly what you said Andy. However, player retention is a multi-layered thing. To be honest I'm seeing more smaller players quit than the top ones and if people are going to quit a game they will do regardless of whatever the devs do.
There is what 4-5 people in this thread seriously asking for new content? Compared to a broad player base, it's not a lot. And to be frank this whole thing is a storm in a teacup, that has turned into a bigger problem then it is. As Deuc said uCool are a small dev team who haven't got the facilities to go much faster than they are. Don't get us wrong I don't think anyone would disagree new content is a good thing and wish it would arrive faster. Things just need to have a bit of perspective.
Dawnseeker hinted at the beginning of this thread that it's being worked on and Tynon are revamping runes as annouced here. So things are moving in the right direction.

I know for the most part deuc herby,morgan,andy are rightish.
I want new content, I like most of what has been done to the game that I would classify as changes to the current content. I like the expansion pack type content (ie Royal Arena)
But The gear was a known advertised part of the game from day 1. Its not like they just started showing us a few weeks ago there is judgement and sirius gear. We've known about it for 9 months.
SO what frustrates me the most is I know eventually it will all get to the same place, but I would much prefer they finish what they advertised ( maps and hr through sirius), then fix bugs, then modify current content to make it better, then add expansion packs (ie Royal Arena). That is the way I am used to seeing a game develop. I would rather be bored because i finished the current game, which noone has because its not released, then be bored waiting for them to finish what they started.
I would rather be bored waiting for new events and expansion pack style material, then the ability to finish the maps that we knew would be part of the game 9 months ago.
So dawn can say all he wants about how much content has been delivered and revamped in the past 9 months, because he is correct, but I whole heartedly disagree with the priority structure uCool has implemented for the game
Like the new patch Dawm just announced. Its a great sounding patch. I think I will love it. I will probably complain about how much a synergia rune costs versus how much experience it rewards However, I would rather see the maps and hr finished more than this patch. I want both, and uCool will eventually give me both. I just want them in a different order then uCool is giving them to me.

All I am saying that asking for ETA and new content is a fair request and does not entitle a "take a chill pill" comment when one is asking for content oneself.
It was not meant as inflammatory, mainly as stating we have common grounds to ask for either.
100 people waiting for new content and 50 people waiting for cap to be removed from bigger banish both have valid reasons to ask for it in my opinion.
The game is unfinished and I would like to hear more about whether or not this will stay this way for a long time.
I care little for speculations at this point; they are wind really.
I am hoping for more information about this subject from Dawnseeker.
As I said before, I don't expect things to come out right away; information is what I am asking for.
When people are informed they can make decisions or be more patient.
Either way, it makes the customer happier.

The devs can only do so much at once. There are things that they want to do with the game. There are things that players to see happen with the game. Then there are things that need to happen with the game (fixing bugs/exploits).
I'm sure that they've got their priorities and if they start giving us etas more specific than "soon" and suddenly they need to change the schedule for whatever reason then players will get mad that this feature or that feature got pushed back. As someone who has tried to design a relatively simple game (didn't even have a GUI), I can say that it takes time to make sure everything works properly.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is that we should be patient and let them work things through. They can't make us all happy simultaneously.
Wait, let me get this straight. These chinese, who don't know have a clue how to do business, who hired a bunch of crappy developers and produced this crappy game has somehow gotten you to play their game and take your money? *facepalm*

for me i don't think that Rocco - i enjoy the game and the graphics (think they really pushed it up a notch on last few patches)
i am on a later server so not so hot on the upgrades but enjoy the patches (stars/runes/etc)
at lvl103 so sure i'll be bitching soon tho (toungue in cheek)
