I bought a VIP3 a while ago? Like at the beginning of the month of Feb. I have only gotten 2 10 gem stakes. I am wonder if anyone else has seen a lack in gems in arena and stuff lately. Or if it is just me.

Gems in Arena has nothing to do with the VIP statusThey are Random.
GEM stakes in arena? What is that. Last time I saw one was over a month ago.
In my Guild someone usually gets 100 Gems stakes about every other day or so and several members (not always the same ones) get 10 Gems stakes each day.

I have noticed a lack of gems not just on me. I can steals gems just fine. But I havent even seen any on my husband recently either. I was assuming that they have reduced the chance of getting gems because I paid?

A friend and I noticed that the older a server is, the fewer gems drop in the arena. This looks like a case of giving you a candy so you know what it tastes like; once you've tasted it, you want more, thus you buy them. It could also mean that they reduced the drop rate in the arena.
That being said, some people seem more lucky with gem stakes and leader cards. I know a person who get 1000 gem stakes 4 times on server 106, and leader cards twice.
Server 7 in my Guild we had 2 members get 100 Gems today.
