I'm just really curious on why the creators of this game don't combine some of the per-se 3 US-west servers into one. I think that this would provide a larger challenge overall because in Hammer of Thor, guilds like ideadly just dominate the fire realm making it not fun for other people playing on the realm as they have no chance of getting the bonuses that are supplied through lands. Yes I know I'm a member of ideadly but just looking at it from an outsiders perspective made me realize.

if only there were more with the same train of thought from the super guilds on other servers. s11 now has 1 super guild with the formerly 3rd ranked guild on server (who was ina different realm) all climbing into bed with them.
you speak of ruining gameplay....well here is another/prime example of it right here
Tynon will merge servers if they think it will be beneficial. I do not see them merging any of the first 10 servers anytime soon due to their high population.
More mergers are coming. Can't say which yet, but they will be "soon."

World of Warcraft does it. People meet friends on line and find out they are on a certain server and want to play with them. Also there can easily be mechanism put in where if you do a server transfer you lose 1 full title rank and the rep reset to that rank. And limit what can be transferred and limits such as 100 mil coins and 40 mil credits to avoid people using accounts to Mule. And limit hero cards to 1 card a piece and 1 stack of materials. Stars and Saints also lose 5 levels when transferring to curb abuse.
Let people make their own choices.
I think server mergers done incorrectly will kill the game even more.
