When it comes to spending gems, I can think of no case where it doesn't have a confirm box of one sort or another come up. Yes, you can opt to disable it, but you see it at least once. So, spending by an accidential click is not the fault of the game - it's not paying attention to what's being displayed.
There have been plenty quick merge/stamina and others . many more confirmation boxes have been added in to the game since beta becuase we all got mad about it and posted
