How many times do I have to say that is documented in the wiki? If people do not read the documentation they should not complain.

The fact is that players shouldn't be expected to go to a wiki to get an accurate representation of things within the game. The tavern makes it appear that whenever a card shows up there is a 1/5 chance of selecting it. They should make it clearer that the rare heroes have much lower odds than 1/5 in the tavern. Wiki's are wonderful, but they should've be used as an excuse for sloppy formatting and design.

Odds:Edit
You would think that the odds of obtaining a card in the shown set of 5 is 1 in 5, however this is not true. The deck is actually just an illusion and the card(up to 3) that you will actually receive (or not receive) is predetermined. The odds of flipping over a hero when it is in the deck you play is probably on par with obtaining a gold rune from the rune temple. It seems to be around 1.25% - 2.5% chance of flipping over the gold card.

Dawn, the game screen is cluttered with INTENTIONAL accidental clicks.
If you aren't paying close attention it is easy to spend by accident. Trying to click on the Noble Lady up by the bench is a great example.
Do you really think that the placement of the icons is accidental? If so I own a tunnel between Great Britain and France that I will sell you.
This next point has been argued many times in the past.
The tavern IS a rigged game. The outcome is KNOWN by Tynon before the player has a chance to choose. Wait, we don't choose. Right?
Why offer us a FAKE chance to select a card at all? It doesn't add anything to the game as far as fun. Right? It DOES add frustration though.
And anger like the op has.
Trying to entice people to "play" at the tavern where there is no play or to "click and spend" accidently doesn't seem to you to be a bit deceptive?
The point the OP has seems to be lost on some people.

p.s. I went vip1 before I knew about the issues. On 2 accounts.
I haven't spent a dime since. Other than for Maria I have had no temptation to spend.
And I resisted that temptation.

When it comes to spending gems, I can think of no case where it doesn't have a confirm box of one sort or another come up. Yes, you can opt to disable it, but you see it at least once. So, spending by an accidential click is not the fault of the game - it's not paying attention to what's being displayed.

The reason they just don't give oyu 1 card in the tavern is cause some players who are vip 3 and up can flip upto 3 cards in the game which is why they need to have 5 overall so players won't know what they get unitl they have flipped the 3rd card. do yo u understand now ?
This is my last post in this thread. I'm through ranting, but I will say this: games that operate like this one, with deceptively rigged outcomes that generally promote real spending, don't last long. I am 41 years old and have been a gamer almost since the dawn of the internet age; I have been a web app and game developer for the past 8 years and believe me when I tell you, I have seen hundreds of games like this one, games with a lot of potential, go down the drain because the developers couldn't get it through their heads that rigging the outcome to promote spending is a turn off for players. Mark my words, if this continues to be an issue (and judging by the many posts I've seen on here expressing player dissatisfaction, I'd say it is an issue), it will destroy this game...
P.S. Be sure to read about the Game Developer, Eric Lam at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk%3A...camming_heroes
