Can someone please explain to me how pompy's skill attack works?
When he uses his skill, Berzerker Blitz, he loses 50% of his available HP. So if he had 1/2 bar of HP, he will only have a 1/4 bar after he skill's. His skill hits extremely hard, sometimes able to take out a front line tank like Nekh or Saffron. He Targets one hero in front of him.
Pompeye is a high stat hero. Putting him in your formation will look nice, but is rarely needed. He is great under certain circumstances.

Pompey will double your damage
You really need Maria or at least Herja to work with him to keep up his morale.
think you mean his health? not morale? In banish i think its a non issue (in pvp/HR/quest its an issue)
personally only using him in banish atm full time (occasional HR/quest/royal/etc) where a maria is needed.
Pompey is useless in Ragnok, and GW. But for Banish and CWF he rocks. He will 1 or 2 shot anyone in CWF and that is a lot of advantage.

Additionally, Pompey's damage increases the more health he has.
A full bar of health will make him deal the most damage.
Also I think he only loses between 1/3 - 2/5 health per attack, not 1/2, even though its stated in his skill description that he loses 1/2.
