Matt, you are a big strong player. However, you are in a realm with other big strong players. How likely is it that you will gain much more than 50M coins and 20M credits without any cap? Hence, the individual cap would have minimal effect on you, at least for now.

On the other hand, certain players on certain servers would potentially get much more than 50M coins and 20M credits without a cap, perhaps even double that.
I think the most ive ever gotten was 48m
so your right the cap you suggest would have little effect on me.
    2 things
    1. I dont see why anyone should be limited
    2. If your idea was implemented theres no guarantee the devs would choose 50m as the individual player cap
    it could be 15m

Wow you are right. They may take our good idea that is supported by many and change it into something that will cause outrage.

Really the REAL thing they need to do is add some gold/credit sinks into the game so that the game is able to absorb the quantities of credits/coins that can be awarded during Banishes without caps. They need to offer something where you can spend coins/credits to upgrade something with marginal benefits. In other words, spending 10M on something new will only get you the benefit of spending 5M on coins or 2M in BS, but it would still be worthwhile for players that already maxxed BS and runes.

Other temporary thing they can do is significantly increase stun resist on 6.25B bosses for now. That way, top players can get rewarded by betting more resources from 6.25B bosses, but they would have to work hard to summon him each time, because they will not be able to beat 6.25B bosses.

Yeah I could totally see a ridiculously low cap being put on players themselves.

I like the stun resist idea. With that Idea, we'd have something to strive for. Right now, we have nothing of the sort to strive for.

They could just adjust the price and contents of the mysterious chests to match game-play and that would shut me up, as well as many others. I'd buy chests if they weren't so unbelievably unbalanced. They don't even look good on Wednesdays for crying out loud.

Yes mysterious chests need to be cheaper, but not so cheap that it would make shrine meaningless. Mysterious chests being too much cheaper swings the game even more heavily in favor of ultra-coiners. I think either 20 gems or 40 gems would be a fair price to pay, it makes them competitive with the shrine on Wednesdays. I think ideally, the prices should be set so that on Wednesdays that the chests are about the same value as the second 5 shrine visits. For example, if you are getting 1M coins per click at shrine, then you should get a return of around 500k coins per gem on Wednesdays.

I am sure they will address the economies of scale on the mystery chest, along with banish issue and caps on things like talent on the upcoming patch.

I have a feeling about it...

Or more likely the Rumour Mill is grinding on maximum.

The rule of thumb is this; if there hasn't been an official announcement, then it's speculation. Don't assume it's going to happen because A told B and B told the rest of the World.

As for the player cap idea, in all honesty it's the fairest solution. However, I also agree there could issues if a cap like this was introduced at a level players disagreed with.

Player caps in Banish would be disastrous.

Just imagine the number of tickets and complaints that would be submitted if all the top players and spenders learn that they can only earn 20m coins in Banish no matter what their power is.

Very true. This seems a bit unfair.

I've read the whole thread and found some interesting point's but I'm not going to quote those just to have them recycled over and over. Everyone has their own opinion which is theirs and some agree while others disagree. In this issue as well as other one's from other threads there is rarely a point where everyone is happy with an outcome in the game.

I know from experience and a lengthy chat with the host from the guild I am in that she only plays anymore because of the people in chat, the game itself with all of the changes has no longer become fun for her.

When it is all over and done the only thing that comes to mind is a simple thought "Is it still fun?" after all in this thread were only talking about one part of the game in which if you participate you gain points to reach your daily's.

There was a point when I started to get totally discouraged in Cerb/Baal because it was always the same top 3-5 players every day winning but I kept building up my toons anyway because I hungered to take that top spot. With all of the changes I have seen I will have to agree the game has become easier to grow your characters and gain power much quicker then those of us that actually started a long time ago. Now I am one of those top 3 players and I do boost to reach the top spot. I also sell the plans for coin since I have no need for them ( I have already built them for even my 2nd Alt which of course that slot hasn't been released yet).

So why do I boost to take the top spot? Because the only challenge I have left at the moment in this game on my particular server is to raise my rank to the level of Marshall which nobody has accomplished yet.

If I were going to make a change to the Cerb/Baal part of the game it would be a whole lot different then what has been discussed here so far. After all to me personally if it isn't Fun why do it?

I would change the leader board to include the top 15 players (there is room on the screen) instead of just the top 10 because I remember the excitement I had when I first saw my name up there and the challenge to not only keep it on the board but to grow strong enough to climb it. That brings excitement to the newer players and encourages them to play more, participate and grow stronger. We have all heard the comments "Hey I'm on the board" in chat.

I would also change the Extra Rewards part (Plan, Chip, Experience) of winning. instead of those being handed out to just the top 3 players I would spread out the Extra's to the top players by breaking them up. That would inspire competition for different spot's on the end game. Something like the following:

1st Place - Extra Rep (Doubled what you would normally earn)

    2nd Place - Level 4 chip

    3rd Place - A Plan for armor

4th Place - Nothing Extra (which it is now anyway)

5th Place - Nothing Extra (which it is now anyway)

    6th Place - Level 3 Chip

    7th Place - A Plan for armor

8th Place - Nothing Extra (which it is now anyway)

9th Place - Nothing Extra (which it is now anyway)

    10th Place - Level 2 Chip

    11th Place - A Plan for armor

12th Place - Nothing Extra (which it is now anyway)

13th Place - Nothing Extra (which it is now anyway)

    14th Place - Level 1 Chip

    15th Place - 10,000 K coins

I know there are times when there are only 6 or 7 players in my realm fighting so people would jockey for what they want in the top spots (especially if it is a Guild dominated fight) and other times there are as many as 30 players in the fight in which case this reward system would bring in more people to the Banish Fights since they would learn that they have a greater chance of getting something a little extra in the end.

One of the reasons why I like Banish is the Lvl 4 chip. It is my source for it and so I would not want to lose that as #1 ranked Banish finisher. The same goes for plans once the new content comes out.

    The reward system seems fine.
