On March 13, 2014 I purchased 100 stars with 20,000 CW tickets and I was only able to add one star to Bloodstorm. I am a VIP 6.75. If I am to spend any more money I want to know exactly how many stars I am going to get from now on. Otherwise I think I will prefer to go back to getting burned at the Casino. At least there I get a free meal and a free room.
i have 8 stars onmy main hero andit says i have a 10% chance to upgrade i have just brought 160 stars and every one fail not 1 star on my hero and i am also a vip6 it just seems to be the none coiners that get all the stars good runes and most frags ect tynon you need to sort this

I can tell you that all hero's star's are "fixed" At the end you will wind up spending the same amount of stars for each of them. Some fail consecutive in a row for like 30 - 50 times.. and then you will get the next 3 stars in 5 more tries.
Stick with it. You will get it to stick eventually.
As for the star amount, it will vary slightly, but the rule of thumb.
Blue to 9 = 500 - 800 stars
Purple to 18 = 500 - 800 stars
