    GW Changes - Clarification?

    I posted this elsewhere, thinking it was an area for general patch discussion. Belatedly I realize it's mostly about the casino. Reposted here:

    I'm curious to see a more English-readable translation of the GW changes than the one in the patch notes. From the patch notes:

    "Starting from the third cities, attackers and defenders will get a 10% buff in both attack and defense abilities for each additional cities defenders shall occupy."

    Does this mean actual cities? Is it meant to help unseat entrenched guilds controlling 8+ cities on some servers? If so, how does the defenders getting a buff as well help anything? Or is cities misleading here, and are bases within the city during GW itself really what's meant? If so, again, how does anything get changed? If defenders control bases B through G (six bases) then attackers get 30% attack and defenders get 30% defense. Obviously I'm missing something here or I haven't had enough coffee (or both).

    sounds like ....

    If one guild has 8 cities and other has 0-3, then 0-3 owner gets +50% bonus ATK/DEF (which is huge)

    That would be very cool and I hope that is what that mangled bit of grammar is intended to mean.

    Hugely irrelevant when your team is outnumbered. Power loss from dura damage trumps any silly possession bonus.

    Just a question with the new Guild War change when you have a guild with 20 active player and can barely win vs the other top guild that has 24 active players and 26 alts sitting in the home base. Now you take 5% hp from a player for every win the guild with 20 active players will never cut through the army of alts sitting in the base. That's close to a 40-70% hp loss for just one stronger player

    Yes I agree. But being outnumbered / swarmed to death makes a whole lot of sense.

    The solution is to change your tactics. Don't go in alone. You can easily win with half the numbers if you play your cards right .... unless ...... how strong ARE these alts??

    right now level 13-90 20k power to 25 mil power, but it still thumps the bumpken when you lose dura and now health when taking the base. we have about 17 in the city battle and 7-10 that are online during GW. they have 14-19 marching and 20-34 at the base depending on who all put the alts in. uugggg I feel the headaches coming back. Good battle strategy can only go so far.

    they also have a alt guild with about 35 members another with 15

    Less focus on the durability changes, more on the power changes alluded to in the patch notes. Any updates on that? My GW tonight was too short to tell. -_-
