Oh I don't. I believe I am one of Tynon's largest supports in many ways. I just don't agree with a few basic premises lately. Overall, I like a shakeup in GW. It will keep people on their toes, if nothing else. If this doesn't work, it will at least lead the dev's down the right road, to a solution that does work. I think this is a good first step. More are needed.

Personally, I think they should assign the current buffs to guild level. Then come up with a whole new set of buffs and boosts to attach to the GW cities, clear all servers and start from scratch. All guilds with ZERO cities. This way nobody is losing, and several people will actually GAIN something they have been missing out on. And, this essentially creates and whole new mini-game

    just my two cents

I think this is interesting, but I feel it goes a bit far. It negates the competition aspect of GW. This will encourage guilds to create massive amounts of alts to either be able to continue to hold cities, or to unfairly take down other guilds. I still think a city max would have been the best option. plus the 10% bonus for each city owned is too much. 5% would be sufficient. not only does this update cause the defending guild to take a massive dump in power by beating players, it then beafs up the attacking guild. so all the lost power is doubled. Makes it too easy on the attacking, underdog guilds.

How is this patch a good first step? These changes should be made when servers are merged. Players have invested time and money and played the game as received. Most members of winning guilds have invested time, energy, and money to be in the winning guild. Tynon decides mid-stream the game is flawed and need to implement this radical patch to correct their game. Correct the game on new servers, merge the flawed servers. This patch is far from fair.

Yep seems like this is the case. I was wiped out buy a player with 30 mill less power than I was "IN one hit". Why are those of us that spend money getting robbed?? Hell if you want to level the playing field get ride of the GEMS system (like that would ever happen)...BUT don't steal for your customers who have worked hard to keep you all in business. I see no advantage what so ever for your paying customers with this new GW's, if some small fry or alt who barley started the server can waltz in and take someone out who put in months and months of hard work with one hit.

Totally agree, this patch will encourage more alts. Just what we need more alts.

I don't mind losing at GW but when it gets "fixed" to the point that strategy has no place in the new system and a alt guild can stomp you that's just not right. Whats the point of even doing GW when a 10 mil guy can onshot your whole group that had 70 mil power? All this OP fix is going to do is piss off the people that put so much time and others money into the game. I was proud of the strategy we use to win but now there is no place for it in GW. When I first started planning GW we were the low guild and with a good strat we could defeat and hold atleast one city as long as we planed it right. Now its just meh being a good and smart player means nothing.

I agree some changes needed to be done but there is a bad precedent of doing wholesale changes in this game without proper testing, just because it sounds like a good idea doesn't make it so. Guild Wars was ridiculous with these changes. Basically what happened was crap was buffed into gold. Players that rarely played or alts recently made became star recruits/players. All that was done is to make players who play often and have investment in this game - make more alts to rebalance what just became broken. These changes were too much and need to be adjusted accordingly. Give the "whiners" or alt type guilds the full buff/debuff for rep cities and reduce it for cities that matter more. If you want to give cities to less powered guilds/players.. make them earn the lesser cities first.

WHY IN THE WORLD IS EVERYONE COMPLAINING????

Everyone was complaining that Guild Warfare was boring and offered no challenged and that uber guilds ruled most of the servers. And now that it has been changed so that uber guilds are less likely to own every single city and that it is more of a challenge, everyone is saying that it is unfair that smaller guilds now have a chance at winning a city or two and that some more complex strategy is required to win in some situations.

One of the suggestions that I had seen thrown quite around a bit was that Tynon should impose a cap on how many cities a guild could hold. If Tynon had implemented that instead and guilds could only hold a handful of cities you guys would have been even more furious. So shut up and consider yourselves lucky that Tynon did not do something more extreme.

This concludes my rant for today.

I fully agree with pirate and night owls comments..
I am from server 26 we own the majority of cities...but it seems that with the changes
an attacking guild has to much advantage..especially if that attacking guild are full of alts in which they can continually send in to weaken the defenders so that the power hitters can come in and clean house.
but the disappointing part is that when you are 106 mil power ..have worked your butt off to get to there (money and time) built up your weaponry to near maximum..and the get beaten by a 36 mil player...whilst I have 90% dura...and when I hit with a skill attack it only does 25% damage to them...it is ludicrous...our guild now only have 19 active players....but when facing a guild with 20 or so alts on top of their actives..there is no strategies to combat it with the current changes..we have 5 major players that pay for some gems to help build ourselves up to keep us strong...Are we now wasting our money for building ourselves up to be beaten by a player 2/3rds less power
