    Patch: More Balanced Guild Warfare

Patch notes I don't understand, can someone clarify this for me?

    patch note.gif

What cities are we talking about exactly? Are these the ones during a fight, or the ones acquired by a guild?

Does this mean that if a guild holds 11 city buffs for instance, their enemies get (11-2)x10% as a buff? (90%)

Or does this mean that when the fight begins and the defender starts in B, attacker gets 20% buff?

    How did your GWs go?

How did your GWs go with the new durability changes?

Today our guild was split defending 2 cities and attacking 1.
-- We placed only a few to defend vs a lower-powered guild (but big in numbers). Our warriors' durability were drained, overwhelmed and we lost the city.
-- We placed the bulk of our forces on a city that was not attacked (won)
-- And placed 10 of our strongest warriors attacking a near-equal powered rival. Through many skirmishes we managed to make it to F-camp, with 40 to 65 durability each (+20% for camp bonuses). With 3 at F, and 7 slowly arriving we marched into G (with 3) and discovered they deployed all forces (~35) at G. Outnumbered and drained, with their fresh warriors coming at us, we couldn't quite make it to D again, and withdrew our attack designs.
    It was awesome!

Bottom line: While we had more power, we were severely outnumbered.
Note to self: Bring reinforcements next time; Never attack a HQ with less than 5.

i dont know the buffs added make no sence to me a 19 mill power guy almost took me out at 57 mill power in the very first battle left me with about 20% health. that was with me going from B to A. I like how they makeing GW more of a challenge tho just dont understand the math behind it. Definantly going to be a challenge to figure out the new system.

    the new system is easy
for every city you own, and by city i mean the actual cities like jengu birch mist etc
your opponent gets a 5% power bonus

so thats part 1 of the change

    part 2 is this
instead of losing 1 durability after every fight
you lose 5 if you win and 10 if you lose

This lets a guild at say level 7 build up 50 alts at 10k power and beat the uber guild
    ITS HILARIOUS

We will all get the hang of it shortly and it will be back to being as boring as ever

Exactly, it's stupid, totally stupid. It puts the ones that built over time and dropped money in the game, last. All a guild has to do is build a massive amount of alt toons, send them in first, over and over, and then move in with your main force. It's totally worthless now to drop money into the game, because it will get you no where. I wonder where Tynon came up with this strategy...I know a few that have already left, and if things don't change in a week or so, a few more of my guild is leaving and I'm going to cut out. It's freak'n stupid. Punish the ones that put money and time into the game, and give the lowbies that never put anything into the game an upper hand. Great...just great...

so tynon rewards alts and small players that don't spend to take out players that build and spend because they want more non-spending players to play and chase out the spending players....yes, what a great business strategy. we look forward to moving to a new game as a guild cause we met some great people here. glad you helped us make a decision tynon

i think this is another screw up on tynons behalf it makes gaining power pointless for gw a much weaker and far outmatched alliance steam rolled over us when one of our mem could easily beat there whole alliance instead 15 guys got beat by them it only favors those who are smaller and nerfs bigger players this could potentially be the game killer for alot of poeple ty tynon i was going to buy a package today but i wont be not with tynon screwing the game up yet again

And this shows that your guild has Poor Sportsmanship.

When we lose a city, we CONGRATULATE our opposition. They outnumbered us, wore us down, swarmed us, and thanks to their numerous army and *organized* assault, they took a city from a single powerful warrior. Me. Before this change I would tower over my opposition, and yawn.

Instead of saying "Oh! The glass is half empty! We lost one of our 9 cities!"
    Instead say
-- "Good job! You guys took down the Titan!"
-- "You greatly outnumbered us, grats on the city!"
-- "The glass is half full, we have COMPETITION again!"
-- "We have 8 cities to their 1"
-- "Next time let's defend with more than 1 person! We can defend smarter."

The solution is to change your outlook on the game. On life. Be Proactive, and perhaps you can help Tynon find SOLUTIONS instead.

I was way ahead of players in the new GW's formation of things (found it fun TY). Now your changed it a bit, so guessing from this new update, (most likely because most complain instead of looking at it as a challenge like me) this will make GW's easier for the top guilds once again to fill the GW cities up. Hope not as competition in the GW's have revived many servers. Personally thought it Guinness, what you did on 3-17-2014. I'll be testing to see how much the decrees on wins changes stuff. Hope it doesn't just put the, (Garrison B, march to A on first round back in). This killed the GW's for me. The 3-17 change was exciting for me and worked on stuff to win more, also had to make alliances to hold more cities, but now may break them off. I'll see.
Will respond more on this as I'm thinking you might have made many top guilds more happy and smaller fighting ones unhappy. Small guilds were much more into the GW's when they found they could win some cities and have the rewards held by only one guild for so long.
Shame on the whiners to new stuff. Spend as much time figuring out a way to be on top of any changes, and you may find game more fun as I do. Sorry, just irritates me when people complain more then figure stuff out personally.

P.S. Keep up good work Tynon DEV team.

The buffs themselves should make it interesting. I'd rather they increase the buffs than put the durability back to -5 per hit to be honest.
