Even though I solo entire armies, my guild consisting of ~50 newer players have less population than our two rivals (who have ~70 each). We lost all our cities. Every single one.

And guess what ... I LOVE IT! We have a CHALLENGE again! Something to fight for!
The glass is half full for us. The game is not over for us. It's just beginning!
I'm grateful for these changes (although they can use refinement). GW is no longer BORING!

You guys are acting as if Tynon deleted your account, lol.
There are more toddler tantrums here than an upper-class Day Care center.

That's a refreshing take on things.

That's great. Really!! And glad you have fun again. The other side of this... the part we are just getting to since the change and losses.. it will eventually even out. Which means any one guild will reach it's max potential to attack or defend. So the cities have no or little chance to change hands much. Bout the best you can do, once you have the city buff level you out, is trade cities or if more than 2 guilds.. just pass one to the other and back. True this ends the monopolies but also the drive or ability to strive or gain a city buff. Guild funds, and level, curb who some can bid on, but otherwise I truly think this will eventually just take resources away and GW will again get boring.

    I am happy for you.

I do not know what an upper class day-care is like. Maybe you can enlighten us with your diaper swinging, rash fighting upper day-care you go to.

To funny. I was reading this post and couldn't help to notice the poll results directly above it.

I think the "rebalancing" has caused more unbalance than anything. During a gw event I lost to someone who was 3 million less powerful than me. And I attacked them at A, so they had no bonuses. I think it makes sense that people who pay more have stronger toons. That's life. If Tynon continues with this unbalance, they will likely lose a lot of their biggest payers. The biggest one on my server already said if things didn't change back by the end of the month he would quit. I think Tynon needs to take a look at the big picture.

I really feel that granting those who have won multiple times more tickets will not help the "Balance" at all.
I think they should be Lucky they won as many as they have and be very happy with all the prizes.
No need for the extra tickets. When you are in the top 8 - which no doubt they most will be over and over - you already gain an enormous amount of tickets to spend.

I have no idea how to address the GW issue; you can't just have 1 ip adress login in, since there are households playing.
It just needs to be looked at again.
(I did not read all the posts, so maybe there is a solution in here somewhere)

With -1 / -10, only power matters. Numbers are irrelevant.
With -5 / -10, numbers matter much more than power.

While history shows that War was almost completely about numbers (until the invention of Gunpowder), in this game power should also play a significant role as well.
Therefore the challenge is to make GW to where BOTH power and numbers impact the outcomes, and not just one of the two.

The problem with the new rules in Guild Wars is that strong players are now being spammed with tons of alts to get their durability down to 1. Alliance leaders have even asked their members to create multiple alts each, no matter how small, in order to whittle down the enemies big players. Increasing rewards for players will not do anything to change this.

    Some suggestions:

    1.
Make durability loss of the winning side proportional to health left.
    - 80-100% hp remaining = 5 dura loss.
    - 60-80% hp left = 4 dura loss.
    - 40-60% hp left = 3 dura loss
    - 20-40% hp left = 2 dura loss
    - 1-20% hp left = 1 dura loss
The losing side should lose -20 durability.

    2.
Disallow players who have the same IP and/or MAC address from logging in more than 1 avatar in the same guild wars city battle.[/QUOTE]

sounds like very very good suggestions!! the gwf now is pathetic - tons of tiny alts run amok on the dura of real players.

    hi all,

Playing a game allways has only max 3 results win, lose or draw. heros are born because they win preferbly more than their opponent. There is therfore hardly any game to be found where the producers during the game the game adjust to balance the game. The most strange part is that the gamers are meant to be hero's and now the producers block the top gamers in being hero's because they block them in winning. Therefor i think we dont want to rebalance the game but we do want the smaller guilds the possibility to own and profit from cities while the stronger cities own more or more usefull cities.
And there was a way to do this and therefor more gamers could become hero's instead of less as is in the current new situation.
instead of building a pyramide of cities there should be a pilar of cities. the first 4 levels should have 6 cities. Only the fifth level contains one city. Also could be chosen for 3 levels with 6 cities than 4th level with 4 cities and 5 th level with 1 city.
no guild should be able to own more than half cities on a level except for the top level.
on the first level there should be garanteed space for 4 guilds on the second garanteed space for 3 guilds.
Guilds could own max 5 cities. The bonus of the cities should be add-ons. So the cities on the higher level contain all bonuses of a cities on a lower level plus an extra bonus.

this way all players can keep up the competion with the players on their level on championship. The current new system could block (top) gamers in their development because they are blocked by weaker players because of the system and not because of their strength. This could be unfair because their opponents might not have that problem on their server.

    greetings,

    Coo
