#190 solving the B to A tactic can be done by letting the game allways start with the attackers on A and the defenders on G.
And by putting a max to the number of cities a guild can hold eg 4 no guild can hold al cities. i think we should hang on to the defenders because not everybody can turn up on 19.00 hour.
there should be a max eg one alt to a gamer. alts are recognised by a different e-mailadress and same working hours as main. a family member is recognised by a common part in the front part of an e-mail adress and different working hours when one ip- is used.
first...wouldn't really effect you that much. Second it's silly to base it on power. No reason I should lose 5 durability when I beat a player that can only take 1 more hit due to having fought plenty of other battles only because they happened to start with the same power or more than me. Best solution is scale it with lost health from 1-10 1 durability for ever 10% so:
0-10%=1
11-20%=2
ad infinitum
The problem with CW is that some people have been playing a lot longer than others. It is unlikely that I will ever get more than half the power of players on low lvl servers, so the chances of me even reaching the 2nd round of games is close to zero, so the whole thing is pretty irrelevant, i just take my handful of tokens and get what i can with them. Until someone comes up with a way that a player with 10mil power hs a chance against 100mil player the 'championship' will be restricted to a hand full of players. Just live with it, you are here to be cannon fodder to the people who started early.
It is kind of funny watching the GW after the patch, our server has 2 guilds about even in power and 3 little guilds, one guild had all of the citys due to battle strategy of the vice host that plans it. first day after the patch the guild that held all citys lost 2 citys second day it lost 3 citys third day lost 3 citys. At this point the guild only had Kolten. Day 4 they took Jengu, day 7 they took a coin city. Now the funny part is the 2 big guilds are at war and only attacking each others citys, so they each control 2 citys. the little low power guild controls 5 because the 2 big guilds are using all of the power they have to fend each other off allowing the little guild to swoop in and take the citys with ease. haha
can be solved with ease if they put a little brain behind it and put two of the medium powered players (but still higher than the top 2 of the opposing guild) to defend what you have or put 3-4 up to take it back while the strongest and weakest fight the stronger guild. that may not be relevant tho if the lower guilds produced enough alts to wear the higher guilds down. that then is EXACTLY the point why this arrangement doesnt work out and needs to be fixed. making it more interesting is one side, but guilds taking cities that they should never deserve in the first place is just wrong.
you guys are lucky, you have not only 2 major power guilds but additionally to that 3 minor guilds that are still active. you should come visit us, our server is reduced to 2 guilds and the second guild only got any cities because the strongest guild lets them have them and everyone is awaiting a server merger.
It's not a matter of luck, it's a matter of discipline and maturity. They chose to keep the competition alive, and apparently served them well with maintaining a high population. As you go through each of the servers you will find this is the case. 1-guild servers = reduced population (even among the 1 guild), even if the one guild is nice. When the competition dies, the fun dies. Boredom then seeps in and people look elsewhere for ... competition. Challenge. Because that's what made the game fun in the first place. Then those that DO remain have nothing to do but twiddle their thumbs and beg for a merger, and then half of these that recently server-merged simply repeat the same mistake.
What fun is having an All-Star team that can never lose? This other server chose to have 2 teams, you and yours just one. Your server would do well to follow their example: *Create* two (or three) teams. Diversify: have your guild Dominate two or three realms instead of one and face off against each other. Or you can do a draft. Anything to keep the competition alive.
The choice is yours; you choose with your actions. The consequence follows.
Cuddles' Law: The volume of a player's whine is directly proportional to his/her VIP level.
Its not that difficult to hold all cities
In server 14 we hold all cities except for koleton mainly because we do not need that buff.
Just a bit of logic, tactics, and few strategies here and there you can easily control all cities ... and no im giving no one our method of dominating gw :P
That is a good idea.. break up and make stuff more fun. Problem therein lies rebuilding a guild to the levels needed to bid on and go for the higher cities. That takes a ton of time, investment and money. Most are invested where they are, and don't wish to restart at square one. IF there is a small guild you could join, fine, but many of them are small for a reason, and then who hosts, leads, etc can be an issue. So what is a sound idea has limitations too.
