A suggestion to refrain alts

Leave it alone. You will never be able to distinguish an alt from a main acct. Some alts are better than some mains!! If Tynon starts messing with this again, they'll screw it up and make it worse.
Face it folks..... alts are nothing more than accts. They are a fact of life and I would not know any way to prevent them. When someone quits it's very easy to give it away because you can't even delete an acct here.
If someone wants to run a bunch, and has the time and computer capacity they will. If Tynon started banning by IPs then we're all in trouble, and I can see the hailstorm that might come then.

No one has mentioned banning alts. We are trying to figure out a way to make it useless to use alts, instead of banning them.

I received some email in my inbox with an offer to sell me coins by revenging. I don't kno how they ae proposing to sell me as it said in the email (in game) 100mil coins by revenging. Is this even possible? How do you get an alt to level to be similar to mind so I can collect 100 mil coins daily? It sounded like some scam TBH. I may have sent this into Tynon support already, but this leads me to believe there may be some exploit taking place with people revenging.

I've seen this, and seen how they operate. These guys are a big problem on our server.
They have 6 guilds FULL of bots. They number them. 11400, 11401, 11402 etc, and they number the guilds mem01, mem03, mem04 boss02, etc.. To hide their activity they're now renaming their characters with random American names. Cleo, Lorene, Betty, etc.. They don't upgrade their gear or anything, under 30k power, just sit around and bid on CW. at 40+ enter CW (at under 30k power). After they amass 200mil coins they send out those emails, and send 1 by 1 in Heroic Realm to attack their purchaser.

I discovered this by accident when I jumped into Heroic Realm Abomination, and was attacked by one. I revenged it and got 9.5 million coins and was like WTF!!!! Then I remembered the advertising emails and numbered guilds. Worst part is, the more clients they have, the more they multiply ...... like a virus.

Well i have alts and i don't use them for revenges i use them to get maps that my guild mates might need and server 100 is filled with alts we go along just fine with it i understand why you think that people shouldn't be receiving so much for attacking alts but some people who have alts aren't using them for that at all and if they are then it is just once in a great while

If you don't use them for revenges, you are not affected by this. Some people can farm alts for up to 35-70M coins daily without much efforts. It is a problem.

Also, some punctuation could help make your message clear. I am not sure I understand very well what you said.

Sorry ChickenWing I posted that and was in a bit of a hurry. That's my friends account I'm taking care of, but still i think personally we should just let it be. I completely understand where you are coming from though. I only get coins from my alts if it is an emergency and if i have none.

I would just like to have a sane, fun gaming environment. The new patch made it challenging, and I like this.

People make alts because if they don't, they will fall behind. Why should you not make an alt when you know others are doing it? By putting a stop to this, people wouldn't feel pressured to make alts. If no one can farm alts, then no one is penalized in the competitive scale.

IP bans work, but it just takes a lot of investigation.

There's probably your best solution. It just needs to be implemented correctly to allow for colleges and workplaces but it's doable.

And this is where the Tynon devs need to sit up and take notice. Evony's issues was ignored for years and only now is something being about it. If you want to see alt farms, Evony is king....

My only concern is removing the revenge coins and credits is a bit extreme. If someone attacks me in the wild, I'd want the opportunity to win back some of my losses. PvP is relatively limited in this game and although it's not a major source of income for many it does add a certain amount of fun into the game.

I'm always wary of anyone offering solutions such as these since I've seen many of the said solutions cause more grief then they actually intend to. People will cheat and they will always find another way to do so if an avenue is closed to them. If alts are a problem the only real solution is remove them, IP banning is one of the more effective suggestions.

On server 100 we have about 6 alt guilds from our two most powerful guilds. I would love to have a fun gaming environment but i didn't feel pressured into making an alt, i made one to help my guild not for farming. Yes some people may be just using it for farming but by taking away revenge rewards if you attack someone who is not an alt and win then what would be the point of revenges then? I feel that people would only feel pressured if people were pressuring them, i don't think people would be penalized for not having and alt or farming it for coins. They won't fall far behind if there are others who are also not farming ^^

Thank you Morgan. I believe these 3rd-party spamming coins/credits for ca$h (with 6+ alt GUILDS on our server) needs to be looked into. I'm sure they're on other servers too. on s114 in our realm ALONE there's 5 guilds of these bots. Same person (coins for ca$h spammer). Mem02, Mem03, Mem04, tynon114, Boss02. They're easy to identify here because every single member of these FIVE guilds are a number starting with the digits 114...

I think this thread needs to be closed, it is clearly encouraging and giving ideas to players who are not running alts or giveing them more innovative ideas to those who are. If people have suggestions you can send private messages to Dawnseeker or use the support tab
