I agree with this. I spend a fortune in the rune temple and have never and will never buy a coin or credit chest. At least the rune temple is something I use daily. I would find it hard to come up with that many coins on a Wednesday without short changing my upgrades on Thorsday. It would have to be a tough decision.

If I wanted an EASY game I'd play FarmVille. Remember, what makes a game fun and appealing is its CHALLENGE.
Edit: On the other hand, if you were to have a Double *Fragment* day, it would be extremely powerful .... but it wouldn't increase the overall rune levels.
Still .... I vote no.

i quite like this idea. very rarely someone buys the chests now, with the new stakes in the fair. double rune exp would be most welcomed!
I don't like the idea. Yes, it's much harder to get a rune to 11, or 12. But, it should be harder. With a double rune exp day, way too many people would be running around with too high level runes for their level.
Personally I love the idea. A bit more bang for your buck on wednesdays would be really nice. Mid-week madness is useless and honestly not that profitable...no one buys chests. It would be nice to get a little more xp when going for frags
Perhaps I should illustrate WHY (double rune exp) is a bad idea...
Remember that you have to consider the ramifications of every change. With the double-exp runes, this means that EVERYONE will wait and save up all their week's coins (minus what they spent on Thorsday) for runes, which is about 3/4 of all their gold.
Now think for a moment, 3/4 of all your gold for the full week, that's about 5 days' worth of saving. For those who have the 100mil-cap Cerb/Baal (twice a day), their gold earnings/savings will easily exceed 500 million for the week. Our server isn't even at that Cerb/Baal and I'm still getting 400m a week.
So instead of spending 1 hour a day in the rune Temple... (~70mil / day)
They spend 7 hours on a Wednesday in the rune Temple.
And guess what? They have no choice. They HAVE to spend all 7 hours in the rune temple for the double exp. Any other day is wasted gold because they need that rune exp! (and this 7 hours on top of their 8 hour/day job).
Next idea please.
I don't agree that it is the best day for them. I rarely see chests being purchased, before the latest patch. Now even moreso as they put coins in fair for 100 gems which are more than what you can get in a chest. So I really don't agree. I would love to see anything put in place of the Wed. chest buy.
i agree with this as well as after a few weeks of this day most of the higher power players will have no use of this day and then we will have more whining on forum about how they need to change the day also with synergia your already gaining friken crazy amounts of exp for your money almost adding 1/3rd of what you would get from 600k worth of runes that you auto pray for if you want to lvl up fast then use those if you want fragments use auto pray you can either have it fast and cheep, or rewarding but more expensive having both is way to easy its like ordering a dilivery pizza and getting 2 or 3 extra pizzas for half the price it just doesnt happen
