wow... you guys really... i have no words.
lets try this: its not a multiple choice answer like in school and to simplify it you have the choice of changing it into a casino day OR keeping it as is since there is no other suggestion.
in other words: come up with your own idea (like the double runes someone else suggested) and make your poll. you can then make 4 answers as follows:
a) i like casino
B) i like double runes
C) i prefer chests
D) i dont understand the question

what you dont take into consideration is that there is some players (especially new players that would prefer a mystery chest over 50% off on casino, but you just hate the chests so much that you know in your subconsciousness that its "screaming" for a change but dont know what to come up with. now if we could PLEASE discuss my idea instead of how the poll is set up?

OP is stating the obviuis (spell check) . Nobody but newbs on new servers buy chests. . fair is where its at if you need coins. Which once you own all the citys from GW. Buying chests on thursday is my day to leave training running till Star friday comes. Which is already getting old. Mix up it tynon. 1 week CHESTS! Make them rare! (LOL) next week casino. Thanks!

the original poll question is:
"how would you feel about replacing the midweek madness with a "50% off on casino day"

which gives you 2 choices:
a) to keep on spending your gems on chests
b) to spend your gems on something you like

therefore you got 2 choices as a response:
a) yes, i would like a casino day instead
b) no, i prefer to spend gems on chests

i do get your point that i should have put a 3rd choice like "yeah i hate the midweek madness but i would like to vote for something else that i dont know yet"
but thats exactly the reason why i didnt put a 3rd answer, because i assumed that most feel the same way about midweek madness but couldnt come up with a better alternative. i assumed if they dont like either they dont vote for it, as you have. after you pointed it out to me that there should be a 3rd choice (as in "none of the above") it didnt let me change the poll anymore.
however despite your flaming hatred and your accusation that i am too dumb to understand, i do see something good in your post:

Midweek madness is a joke. It was a joke before and was only good for players who couldn't stand to wait for a better offer at the fair. Now, it's been reduced to utter stupidity ever since the patch went live. It may not be Tynon's priority, as there is no hurry to change this, but changing it to something relevant should be on their to-do list, I hope!

I don't spend gems on chests, but altering casino prices is just a bad idea. They do a careful job of making sure the house will win out in the end, and if they do this, they need to readjust prizes. I would prefer having no event over this idea (so I voted for the chests), but clearly the wording of the questions do affect the poll results for others.

Mid-Week Madness should be replaced by anything worthwhile. When I can get 19000k gold for 100 gems in the fair, why am I buying a mysterious chest again? I don't get the mysterious chests at all.

For the sake of it, here are some ideas:

Chicken Madness: improve basic mysterious chests to make them relevant (midweek should at least offer a better deal than the fair for those beginning players)

Chicken Feeds: better feeds (mounts get twice the amount of experience for every feed and the amount of possible feeds is increased to 10 for that day)

Chicken Shrine Day: income is increased by 50% in the shrine

Chicken God Day: you can pray to the Chicken God for rep (rep gains through the shrine are affected in the same manner as credits and coins).
