This is very frustrating for me as well. Cards and stars are both fairly expensive and when they fail repeatedly in spite of the odds listed it makes us not want to buy them. A 90% sanctification should not fail twice in a row but they do. There is a cheat with them but I don't use it or share it. The fact that others do makes honesty even more of a disadvantage here. I think this part of the game is just wrong. If you want us to buy 4 cards to get one usable one then just make the sainting cost 4 cards. Same with stars. If I am going to have to use 6 stars 5 times before one star sticks then make that star level 30 stars so I can buy what I need to advance. Make them the same for each of us as well. This RNG seems to favor some players over others and the heavy coiners do seem to get more than low or non coiners.

People who buy a lot of medals do get more stars, because they have more medals. There's no conspiracy, I promise. I understand that you don't like the RNG and I do pass feedback like this on to the developers.

They do, its called combining. Anything less than 100% is just that, not a sure thing. Combine until you have 100% or face the reality that you MIGHT fail.

Troll has a point though. There is a glitch that people use to know if a sanctification will fail or not. It allows them to know if they should combine cards or not. He claims that he knows it and doesn't use it. There is a clear advantage to using this glitch. It is an exploit that appeared with the patch that allowed us to combine cards. Before that, one could only know if a sanctification would fail or not.

So as he said, honesty doesn't pay. Especially when you know everyone is taking advantage of such glitches.

There is no way to take advantage of that glitch with the star system however. Dawnseeker's response is spot on regarding this aspect, but he fails to respond to the sanctification problem.
