Ok seems pussy riot just refuses to respond to this. What a shame. Would have been very interesting to get his comments on my suggestion, since they directly effect him.

Ill explain.

First off I do not think someone should actually be banned or retired from competition just because they are so much further ahead of the pack.

It is true he skews tickets and its annoying. But the tickets are a freebie.

Lets look closely at CWF and its real purposes.

originally it was stated this was to find out the best of the best. ANd thats how it started to look at first. There were some very interesting matches. New forms and heroes were used like never before. It was actually very interesting for most players. The losers, which was most of us, got tickets to buy prizes just for betting. It seemed like a Win-Win for everyone.
Then it started doing what it was intended by the devs, to get people to buy gems to power up and win the whole thing and get those really awesome prizes for top 4.
Enter execdude, then pussy riot to the fray.
Now exec spent some decent money but pussy spent more and the devs were laughing all the way to the bank. They finally did it. They made some serious cash off this game.
Gratz to them for doing so.
Now its important to note - I am not criticizing or complaining about anything I have already stated. Just stating what I believe to be the facts. I applaud everyone involved in CWF. I think everyone reached their goals.

But now comes the problem - longevity

Now that Pussy riot has spent all this money there is no real "best of the best" and it is extremely unlikely anyone is spending much money if any at all to power up for CWF in the USA market. And with what appears to be the limited number of players in Europe and Asia - they arent spending all that much either because of CWF.

The event is now stale and few if any care about.

Pussy was all upset at first over the crown system, now hes silent on the issue.
Pussy cant even be bothered with a thread saying he should be banned form CWF competition
Exec doesnt even care about CWF form his own postings
MOst people care less about CWF now.
Its not a competition to see who is the best of the best, or who can spend enough money to power up and win.
Its a competition of who can guess when to bet on the underdog, who can get the most tickets, and who can sped the tickets best. Thats all it is now for almost everyone.

We could go into all the reasons why this happened. the devs made a few mistakes which can not be corrected now - namely the overall size of the final prizes which they did adjust once.

SO my question is what to do now?
do we keep going with this CWF waiting for Pussy to get bored and not play it any more - do we scrap it for something new - do we ask for changes.
GWF got boring as sin for everyone and they are making attempts to make it more interesting again. Some dont like the changes- but I for one applaud the effort. SO in the same spirit should we try to throw ideas out there to make CWF more interesting for people again. Alot of ideas have been thrown out there in the past. And most have been ignored. SO is it even worth the effort suggesting things?

I just wanted to bring to light something that has been bugging me - which is cwf to me and many many others seems next to pointless and if it wasnt for all the free tickets noone would even bother with it.
in the hopes that Dawn reads this and take sit to the the devs and they take it to heart I will give one idea.

Set it up so each level starting at Knockout round 1 rewards the winners and teh over all prizes are greatly reduced
The ultimate winner is going to acccumulate prizes for each win starting at knockout stage 1 up through championship. with each prize getting a little better, but they are small prizes. SO say knockout round 1 gives 10k tickets,KO2 gives a level 5 chip, next round give 25 blue medals etc etc etc. You can even make it so that the winners get a chest that has a choice of prizes that you could get and 1 is randomly selected like guild chests, but the prizes are much better then guild chests.

This gives the ultimate winner a series of prizes while it gives others who can make it to say knockouts something to fight for and a reason to power up a bit more to try and make it one more round further the next time. It also slows down progression due to multiple trips to the finals.

I didn't read this whole long thread, but from what I gather, it seems there are people who are content with the CWF and some that are not. It is going to be hard to make everyone happy at the end.

I am not going to apologize for spending and powering up my heros in this game, nor should I be singled out. There is always going to be an impact to players when a strong player emerges for the good or bad. It is all how you look at it. I guess a guaranteed ticket is (to some) better than a chance to not get anything.

It seems this whole thing started because of the ticket ratio if a winner is dominant. Even at this I did lose 1 battle and so the people who bet on the other person got good tickets. There is no guarantee if there is a close fight that anyone will make more tickets. Most likely you may make less if you keep getting the bet wrong.

Also this whole notion that this CWF is now boring is relative and is not the opinion of all, but of the few who feel they no longer have a shot at the title (so it seems). I cannot address that, nor should I be held accountable. I guess I can slow down my progression and let people catch up to please some players who seek the thrill of a close match, but then I would not be true to myself.

This is a great game and eventually people will catch up and there will be lose battles. Until that time comes, I do feel it is proper to reap the rewards based on the effort and money spent on this game.

To that end, I will end my response wit this thought: Let's all just play the game, do our best, and not look to blame. Rather, focus on the positive aspects of this game and strive to become stronger within his or her own pace.

I like the auto-betting idea if no bet is placed, even if it is the losing bet. CW is all about being the best you can be. No need to whine about who wins, and how many tickets you "could" be missing out on just because one fighter is bigger than another. If you aren't happy with the way CW works, don't play it. I don't like heaven palace, so I never go in there. Pretty simple really. Not like you have to bet on anything... They could easily sideline the whole betting system and only reward us based on how well we do in the competition. The betting after you have been eliminated is a bonus, deal with it.

I agree with this. Sadly, this problem only affect 2 or 3 players, perhaps 4 or 5. The rest of the people get their excitement from CW during the preliminaries and the knockout rounds. I'm pretty sure any other player who would be dominant, if Blayd wasn't there, would argue in the same manner: time+money = title.

On a serious note what Blayd said was true, there will be always a dominant player that I'm afraid is inevitable. However, CWF isn't much fun for the masses and maybe it'll be better served if it was scraped altogether and replaced with something which everyone can enjoy again.

One of my favourite suggestions I've seen (made by someone else) is some kind of Dungeon Run where players can 'team up' fight monsters and raiding treasure chests.

EDIT: To expand on this idea, it might be possible to incorporate some PvP into the mix....

I would prefer an additional new event, rather than replacing CW.

I think eventually Blayd will hit a cap and along with several crowns of handicap, and then other people will be able to win. The auto-bet so we don't have to waste too much time on it, and then more events the merrier.

Everyone is proving me correct - that noone really cares much about CWF as it is now. WIth all the requests for auto betting - people just want the tickets and dont care who wiins or loses. Pussy you didnt get my point the issue is not you. YOu earned what you got. I singled you out cuz you are at the top - and used this ridiculous idea to prove the point.The problem is the way CWF has been set up. They did not predict you would spend that much that quickly. They designed it to make money, but its not now, which is why they tried out the crown system idea to see if that gets people interested in it some more to spend more money. But I think you even realized that this system is pointless at this point. The system created you. This was not their end result unless it created 3 or 4 of you. But since it hasnt, now the question how to regain interest in the event for the masses, so we can get another big spender to finance uCool or better yet many moderate spenders to finance uCool. Or would it be better to scrap CWF or just ignore it and come up with something new to spur spending in the game to keep it going.

The fact dave actually posted shows the devs and people at uCool do pay attention, and that someone - maybe me maybe someone else said something that is of great interest to the company.

My whole point is not to pick on pussy for his spending or his size. The point is I and many others believe CWF needs a change of some sort
