I like the new method. There is nothing wrong with it. You get the same thing for the same price. It's even better, because you can already benefit from a partial upgrade if you don't have the contribution yet.

I can see why Tynon did this, business-wise. People will be more likely to spend gems on investments. Getting a new level is more real than it was before, and therefore people are more likely to spend there..
