Basically, instead of a chance at a skill scroll we now have a "Fragment" to look forward to. I do not see the need or use for this patch, there are many more aspects of this game that need attention such as arena and rag rewards.

Yes, they are, but do you think you have a better chance at a skill scroll or a fragment now? How long will you have to do the casino to save up enough fragments? The high stakes and high rewards nature of this casino when it was first introduced was more attractive than what it has turned into. At least then I could spend 1000 gems and break even or come out far head of my investment, now all I get are 90% chests, 8% coins and creds, and 2% chance at a random item which includes mainly single blue and purple medals. This is now as bad as the wheel of misfortune on evony. The message here is to stop fixing things that are just right, and fix what's broken first.

However, there is a sell value of 50 gems which imo is quite lekker

Chances of getting a scroll are probably the same as before.
Chances of getting fragments are probably better than those of getting a scroll.

Overall, I'd say the chances of getting a scroll have "improved" because the percentage of getting it from the frags adds to the one of getting it from a direct spin.

I saw someone out there who got a dervish attack scroll early on in the casino and someone got a lvl 8+ chip and someone got a 10k and 20k gem from casino on different servers. So there has to be some instances where it seems, it is not just predetermined, but based on how the "roll" comes when it spins the next board to roll the chips.

This fragment is just another way of saying, you can be assured a scroll if you spend a certain amount of gems. Which is kind of how fragments are set up with coins in the rune temple. It seems logical and it also makes me think this is to help users from getting too discouraged, when they keep rolling casino and see they have no "indicator" that tells them how close they are to getting the scroll, when in fact they may be close. The scroll now provides that indicator.

They are trying out lower prices on a select few servers to see if they can get players to spend more gems on the casino than they are now.
