Change CWF to one hour duration

There has been a lot of discussion on what to do with the timing of CWG so that it is more convenient for the players. The discussion has centered om moving the starting time. That has not worked very well because the players are in many time zones.

Since CWF is now every two weeks I propose that the preliminaries be held on one week using only one hour a day for for four days. Then the elimination rounds are held on the next week. First round split over two days and the 2nd and final round on the two days after that.

This means that the difference between the end time for the 'western' most time to the start time for the eastern most timezone is cut by an hour. For example, today in the US servers GWF starts at 10 PM Eastern - 7 PM western and ends at midnight Eastern - 9 pm Western. By cutting the duration to an hour and keeping the same start time the end time would be 11 PM Eastern - 8 pm Western.

Hmmmm ... this could potentially work
However, for me, I dont like the idea of the whole thing spanned over two weeks
But, with a bit more thought I think this could definitely work .. just not that I will come to the conclusion of like anything about the times of cwf (Must say, Id rather have the times stay now as Ive fit it into my routine)

I agree, as this makes CW sorta anticlimactic

It gives you too much time to power up more
In 1 week you are limited with what you can do with yourself and your power

Lemme try this again. If your pwr is capped when you click sign up this would stop the power uppers *like myself* And also add more stuff todo/watch over 2weeks than training...Food for thought! Hope you eat it!

I like the idea of capping the power, but that really means freezing your equipment, runes, chips, talents, Heroes available and their Saint attributes and Stars. Then there would have to be a different method of changing formations when you want to change heroes or redistribute runes and equipment that you had at the time you sign up. Perhaps the change formations function would take you to a special runes window, Heroes display, and Inn where only what was frozen when you signed up was available. This would include any runes that you has stored on any hero and any chips that you had stored in your pack. You would not be able to merge runes or chips or modify your equipment (no opening up more slots or upgrading in any way).

I know this is off topic. I will move it to a new tread if any one complains.

Not a good idea unless its an hour were no other events take place. Would really suck to be the time zone that gets stuck with it 4 days in a row for world boss or guild war.

    NO!
The main complaint for west coast servers involves guild wars starting at the same time as championship warfare. Now you want to exacerbate the problem, and ONLY run Championship warfare in the same hour as guild wars. This does not help players on the west coast at all, and places us at a much more severe disadvantage.

I like the idea of having CWF last one hour per day. The current version is rather long.

I said 'for example. With with a 1 hour time span it would be easier to find a time slot that would work for every one.

I just had another idea. How about if GW was not at the same time in every time zone and then it could be coordinated with a one hour (or even two hours) CWF?
