Thread: Reduce PVP spoils

    Reduce PVP spoils

Large rewards for picking on weaker players encourages stalking of lower-level areas.

First day in game I get attacked by someone 3 levels higher and way more powerful. They receive ~90k gold and ~70k credits for a joke of a battle. That reward is far too large for killing a weakling.

Allow attacks, but reduce the spoils, or scale rewards based on power discrepancy.

They should not be able to attack you if you are 9 levels lower than them, there is supposed to a 3 level gap maximum requirement.

I believe this is a bug.

Checked level difference, was 3. But the issues with overly-large rewards remains. Reduce rewards to reduce hawking.

Actually no, this is fine the way it is. What if you shuffle a hero in tavern and you don't have those million credits to get it?
I know you will probably go out in the wild and attack the low players to get credits, everything in here is connected,

The spoils for PvP are 5% of whatever the coin and credit maximum your enemy has.

Then remove 20% of that 5% to calculate of what you will take with you. (you will take 80% of 5% of whatever your opponent has)

    That is a measly 4%.

The reason the OP lost so much was not because the loot % was high. it was because he had with him so much coins and credits that he didn't bother to spend.

Simple options here: create a place in the warehouse where it can be stored in the warehouse - don't force a player to spend if he wants to quest.

Also, if you want credits, go fight monsters. Connection made.

The amount of credits/coins I get from farming other players is a lot more than I get from questing and fighting monsters. If you lower this, you take away the ability to grow, and a lot of people will leave. Spend your coins/credits, build your power, and farm people for more. Don't sit on them, you aren't getting any better doing that...

If you keep removing spoils of war, removing the ability to take from others, you will also remove the players that make this game free for the 50-70% that do not gem up... I agree with Jupitor, it's fine the way it is. Don't fix what isn't broken.
