First the amount of time/gem cost to get these mounts leveled up is insane.
secondly. Without a transfer option adding more mounts is pointless. The amount of time spent leveling up titles to unlock mounts, is wasted feeding a mount if you cannot transfer it to the next mount eventually.
    Agree.

I'd like to believe that Tynon is not going to screw the players like that.

I've let them know the feedback about transferring mount exp.

I would suspect the experience doubles each time similar to dragon with HP going up by 10k increment.

    so 7k exp = 2nd star
    14k exp = 3rd star
    28k exp = 4th star
    56k exp = 5th star
    112k exp = 6th star
    224k exp = 7th star

    .
That's quite a good scale we have for the Wind Runner.
    Comparing it with the Dragon:

    Dragon(xp) WR(xp) Dragon(hp) WR(hp
    0 0 8000 10000
    2500 3500 16000 20000
    5000 7000 24000 30000
    10000 14000 32000 40000
    20000 28000 40000 50000
    40000 56000 48000 60000
    80000 112000 56000 70000

As you can see, it takes 37500 dragon xp to get the same hp bonus as 24500 wind runner xp.
Anything past that and the wind runner leaves the dragon behind.

Since the Dragon was only introduced a few weeks ago, even if Tynon don't implement an xp-transfer option, you would still come out ahead purchasing a wind runner asap.

I believe the other mounts that was mentioned in the patch notes email are lesser-quality ones, which might have some interesting properties, to be introduced in the future.

Major, Knight-Captain, Knight and Master Sergeant Titles don't have any mounts unlocked with them, thus these are the quality levels I would expect the new mounts to be introduced in.

As it is, the Wind Runner is the mount that Marshall Title unlocks. If ever a higher quality mount is introduced in the future, it would also entail having a new title past Marshall, a new hero to go along with it, etc. That would surely take some time.

"Grand Marshall" would seem to be the natural next title and possibly another higher level mount. Maybe a mount with a jet engine... call it "Falcon"

But the transfer option is very much needed.

Also as Herby pointed out, Dragon was only out for about 3 - 4 weeks. but some people may have invested gems to "tame" it.

It would be great if the experience was "transferred" without any pre-conditions or penalties since the experience needed at each higher mount is significantly greater. This way people can purchase the new mounts and use gems or daily feeds without worrying about losing their investments when the transfer option is made available.

Tynon's patch update message in-game says "Wild Runner: Due to popular request, we've released the first of our additional mounts, Wild Runner". By the time the release the next one, I'm sure the would implement a transfer function for mounts at the same time. *Twiddles thumbs* in the mean time

I support this, but the xp transfer should only work once, and only going to a mount of higher quality.

    Agree.

Towards higher level mounts. Not going the opposite direction. even though I cannot see why anyone would want to do this.

As other higher mounts are put out in future expansions. The transfers should always go to the next mount. Given how much exp it takes to go to 1 star increase after a certain point, it would still take significant investment to keep going and going.

The thing with the new mount is, there is no movement. Since the Win Runner floats, all you are seen doing is floating on air with a shadow. At least with a dragon mount, you see it's legs move. But with the Wind Runner, you see nothing. It just glides. but it does not fly high enough to glide over walls.

And how about a resell mount option? Mount cards could be sold for half the price of the mount... perhaps have the mount sell for that much as well. Puts it back into the circulation for others who need it, and gives you a small return on a mount you no longer need.

EDIT: Whoa! You stand on that thing... that's pretty cool!
