After the new arena patch, has anyone seen a 1000-gem stake announcement?
NO ONE on our server has ever seen one (neither 1000-gems nor leader card) and we have some night owls watching around the clock.

I think it may be random bug affecting only a few players, usually when someone gets a leader card or saint their main it gets announced, but I have noticed for a while now mine stopped announcing. For example, I got a leader card from guild chest a few days ago and I got a saint of Seraph 1 yesterday on my main: neither was announced in WC. I really don't mind, but if this is affecting announcement of 1000 gem stakes then it really sucks.

Edit: we had announce of gem stake during night i just scrolled up and was one in top10

I have not noticed banners for Ultimate arena. I have seen a banner for 1k that was in normal arena.
There was an announcement for 1000 gems on my server yesterday.
They said "Personx from x realm has the 1000 gems stake and will be defending it in arena".

I've seen the announcement for high stakes in the regular arena. Haven't seen any for Ultimate Arena.

I saw the announcement yesterday. Perhaps there just weren't any large stakes over on your server.

Also, the Ultimate Arena has no banners when #1 spot changes. I have seen 0 banners from Ultimate since it's opened. First place changed hands a few times today. Maybe that is a good thing!! Banners are too many as it is. Then again, we are not notified if anyone should get a good stake up, so have to check constantly.
