That's a good move from Tynon. Just show they listen to the players and read the forums.
We can complain all we want, but we need to learn from what they just did I think. Tynon is not always ill-intentioned, and they will try to make up for errors when they are pointed out to them.
I don't think Tynon is ill-intended, But I do think they sometimes don't think things all the way through before implementing them. And, I know there can be unintended actions from a seemingly simple change, but it would be nice if one in a while we hear an 'Ops, that didn't work as we intended. I appreciated it until all I got was chests in Casino...seriously. Every single hit was a chest. Which isn't even fun. It's like a lottery within a lottery. With extra frustration. Because we all know it was only levl 1 chips. THEN, I found I had a bunch of stars! Right on! I've been trying to work on Flavius on the side. I have a 20% chance to increase his stars up. Nope. 44 stars wasted. See? That's actually LESS than 20% at this point. So getting more than frustrated.
So what I'm saying is...although the thought was nice, setting me up to fail with all the stuff you "gave" me was worse than just not giving me anything in the first place.

I get frustrated with the star system myself. Seems the percentages they have posted aren't quite what actually happens. But, you did get some attempts you'd not have got otherwise. As for the Casino - I play the free spin daily, and chips I might get in a package, and the ones they just gave me. It's all free stuff even if it is lvl 1 chips. Enough lvl 1 chips and you have a lvl 2, and so on.
In short, it was all free. And, yes some of it is frustrating. Still, for me, it's hard to complain about something that's free.
Across all heroes for all players I bet that the percentages they give us are actually pretty damn close.
Fun fact: I got my Adamanti from zero to seven stars without failing once (and this was back when you lost stars for failing so I am pretty sure I would remember if I failed a bunch of times).
Yes, but the question is... is the distribution normal? If 20% of people have a 80% success rate and 80% of people a 5% success rate.... that would average out to a 20% success rate. Their RNG might be something messed up like this... course I've only seen a very small sample of very lucky and very unlucky people.
If you would stop reading those percentages as an overall chance to get to the next star or saint it would stop bothering you.
The percentages are teh chance for THAT ATTEMPT and tha ATTEMPT ONLY to succeed.
Look at it this way
Take a bag
put 100 marbles in it.
say 80 black and 20 red
Draw a marble out of the bag.
You have a 20% chance to get a red
Now if you draw a black what happens?
Many people want to leave that black out of the bag and draw again. Which changes the % and not how stars and saints work.
Instead you must put the black one back in the bag and draw again with 80 black and 20 red in the bag.
