Why everyone is so focused on winning an event that is only supposed to have one winner is beyond me...

If you guys seriously want a bracketed system, here are some possible brackets.

    Greater than 500 mil power.
100 mil to 499 mil power.
    Less than 100 mil power.

Like those? Didn't think so. Any brackets they implement are most likely going to be arbitrary and there will always be losers so stop whining before they go and do something to make CW worse.

CWF is fine as it is.

Power-level bracketing will never work as you can manipulate power rating so easily.

No one should be denied participation in CWF because of a handicap.

To all the jealous players, either improve your heroes, or just keep on watching from the sidelines.

The crown buffs will catch up in to the champion in a few more tourneys.

It also acts as a challenge to Blayd, to continuously keep improving himself, and trying to win CWF despite the crown buff's increasing handicap.

At some near future however, when I am facing a 800 mil opponent with 25% starting buff, it is not going to be so easy.

It actually depends on the damage and defense numbers. The power level is only a gauge.

Once you start facing an opponent who can do 110k thousand strikes, and if you have 60k skill/phy defense, and no skill/phy resistance, the ff will happen:

    0 crowns: the opponent's damage will be (110k x 1) - 60k = 50k.
    1 crowns: the opponent's damage will be (110k x 1.05) - 60k = 55.5k
    2 crowns: the opponent's damage will be (110k x 1.10) - 60k = 61k
    3 crowns: the opponent's damage will be (110k x 1.15) - 60k = 66.5k
    4 crowns: the opponent's damage will be (110k x 1.20) - 60k = 72k
    5 crowns: the opponent's damage will be (110k x 1.25) - 60k = 77.5k
    6 crowns: the opponent's damage will be (110k x 1.30) - 60k = 83k
    7 crowns: the opponent's damage will be (110k x 1.35) - 60k = 88.5k
    8 crowns: the opponent's damage will be (110k x 1.40) - 60k = 94k
    9 crowns: the opponent's damage will be (110k x 1.45) - 60k = 99.5k

As you can see, this is already for a hero with 60k defense, and in round 1.

KT would deal similar damage as Adam's 1K strikes.

Rhize, Dawn, Lance, Alci, Aphro, and any other hero who has no damage nerf or has a damage modifier will deal a lot more damage than Adam or KT.

Also note that the opponent's defense numbers would all increase in the same manner, so you will be dealing less and less damage to him as your crowns pile up.

Not focused on winning. It's more like little chance ever to get any benefit from it, so why bother to build for it? Meh, I just join, hope for the best and take my tickets. But you get less tickets if you make it to round of 16, or 8. I guess that's my issue. So rather throw it and get out early, least we can bet.

Right now i have three characters make it to the Knockout rounds on a regular basis: one on Beta and two live servers. My goal is to get characters from three live servers into the knockout rounds.

Unfortuately, they are all on west coast servers and CW interferes with guild wars.

Well, what is the combined population of all US servers compared to Europe and Asia? If all of US is close to 3x that of Europe, would the devs consider maybe making it one CW per time zone? This would allow CW to occur outside of GW time and more people can make it into the knockout rounds, top 8, etc.

Crown seems like it could work, why don't we sit and watch for a few weeks to see if its working as intended. The only thing they need to do is increase Blayd's crowns to the actual # of CWFs he has won. He should not have 2 crowns next CWF.. he should have 5-6 I believe. Nobody else should have any crowns, since they have not won in a long time.

Has Blayd won that many times? I thought this was his third- fourth max?
